Worse Restaurant in Rhodes! I ordered Stuffed Peppers & tomato’s X 2 portions. It had meat in it, I didn’t mention that I am vegetarian however menu never said it contains meat. In fact I’ve eaten same dish many times & it’s vegetarian so never had issues. When we requested to order something else, I was told to pay 50% of the bill. I paid without complaining however did inform them about poor customer service! Owner threatened me to call police if we didnt pay the bill. Absolutely abysmal! Greek is well known for its hospitality however this is worse example of any customer service I’ve ever experienced! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! OWNERS LACK RESPECT FOR CUSTOMERS!!! PLENTY OF OTHER CHOICES IN TOWN!
UPDATE See Owners response. I've never seen such a miserable response in my life. I've been travelling to Greece over 10 years and been to 100s of restaurants. This person must be a complete joke and never ran business before. I arrived from beach as Temperature was 39 degrees and it's obvious I had bottle of water? How on earth that's disrespectful? This business is completing lying as I never threatened. I paid as I was asked and while leave I politely said my experience will reflect in reviews and this is when owner got patronizing and threatened to call police. Long story cut short. OWNER IS LYING AND ARGUING WITH CUSTOMER!!! GO TO RESTAURANT THAT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMER? I AM IN NO DOUBT THIS PLACE IS GOING TO SINK FAST. JUST SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND MONEY BY AVOIDING THIS PLACE...
Read moreWe arrived to Stegna with a plan, visit as many restaurants as we can... With this place we really "messed up the plan", because we ate here for like 7times at least. The owner and the staff is so nice, the food is fresh and excellent! They even showed my husband the fishes to choose. You sit on the terrace with a beautiful view and feels like you are at your parent's /grantparent's place because the owner-wife cookes the amazing meals herself and his husband serves. My fav was the pitaroudia (traditional specialty of the area made from chickpeas, which is accidentally vegan!) Also they use homemade oils, herbs and olive creme (served with the pita, both are soo soo delicious!) and they buy from local farmers! Also they have a nice beach side with sunbeds and umbrellas and beach service. The price is reasonable and they give 2x 0.5 cold water which is very nice!! The freddo espresso and the aperol spritz is delicious and made from the original Aperol. They sell Mythos and there in no better feeling than drinking an ice cold beer on the terrace or on the beach. Both waitresses are extremely kind too! All in all we are looking for more visits, hopefully next year!
P. S. Thanks for the greek lessons! :) Ευχαριστώ πολύ!

Read morePrice tip for Stegna: Grilled fish as main course Good food with a lot of room for improvement. As usual we ordered starters and main courses. At Antonis the side dishes are much larger, the pasta double size. Also more starters that were totally average. I do not remember any overwhelming tasty but also nothing that tastes bad. So we felt a bit fatted afterwards and maybe this influenced this ordinary rating.
As said, the grilled seambream was grilled on point. As most of the Stegna taverns have similar prices and likely share same fish markets/deliverables, you get more for your money and don't need a starter. However, the sword fish was grilled a bit too long, tuna chunks in the pasta more steaks than chunks. Also the tuna had some areas that should have been part of a soup rather than freshly served.
Therefore a dinner with its...
