Greek House — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Perfect and silent retreat from the sun and biggest heat during the midday.

We've stopped there almost by accident to grab something to eat and keep on touring the island. Boy, oh boy, we were in for a treat.

Sergio welcomed us with a big smile and even bigger heart.

We've sat down in the shade under a canopy of grapes and in old olive tree's shade. Two glasses of wine that we received as a welcome gift allowed us to taste homemade white wine and a rosé, both delicious in the heat of almost 30 °C and later select a bottle to go.

My wife ordered Beef Stifado and it was hands down the best one she ever had (or so she claims). Tender and soft stewed meet with rich spices, herbs and onion was still surprisingly mild yet clear.

Black olives and salad were amazing too. You could taste the sun in each vegetable.

As a family business, Greek House deserves nothing but praise, but it was Sergio himself who charmed us with his smile, hospitality and honesty.

Once we get home and open the bottle of rosé, we will raise a glass to Sergio and his family, who let us feel the true Greek...

Don‘t be fooled by the hundreds of good reviews!

I‘m sorry, but over 300 good reviews for this place is just not realistic at all.

The filled paprika was just a little bit warmed up and tasted like three days old food heated up like 30secs in the microwave.

The „grilled Feta“ was body temperature and not grilled. After telling the service personal the missing grilling process, the answer was „It was baked in the electric oven“. So for what reason do they have a stone oven then?

The Olives were dry and tasted also like few days old.

The Chef couldn‘t handle the friendly mentioned critics with professional behavior, so we left quiet...

This is an incredible place, an incredible restaurant. They make their own wine, the best I've ever had. They also sell their own olives, honey and olive oil. The food is delicious, national Greek. It's a family business, and all these people are very responsive. The older man told us everything about the wine and even showed us where they store and make it. And the younger man who served us was very nice, very pleasant, poured wine as a gift and always asked if everything was okay with us. In general, this is an amazing place, I recommend it to...
