Taverna Christos Corner. Grill kafe bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

I am a bit surprised by overally good opinions of this place. We were returning from Monolithos Castle and stepped in. Restaurant was completely empty, which should already be a red flag.

Lady was wearing super dirty clothes and both the kitchen and the table looked little hygienic. The place itself is a mess. Broken stuff, some toys lie around. Private cosmetic items near the kitchen. Anyway, we tried. Food was the worst we ever had in Rhodes (12 days in our case). Even greek salad tasted bad. We didn't fall sick, but don't try....

Regret to say but this family restaurant now run by the daugher of the founders of Christos Corner is not what it used to be. Bread burned on the grill, souvlakia was a bit burned on the grill, lots of muscle tissue within the meat, service being done by 14 year old daughter of the new owners without saying a word. The view remains fantastic, but for us with the previous experience (about 6 times over ten years time) we had, it was dissappointing to visit this...

We were looking to get some food away with us to see the sunset, the owner invited us in to check her food, we ordered a pyta gyros which was amazing, many nice flavours and a moussaka which was good.

We got some grapes from her garden as well as a gift.

For us it will always have a place in our hearts because it was part of our journey to the Monolithos castle where I have asked my girlfriend to be my wife after seeing one of the most...
