Sunset Beach Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Very disappointed. We booked a table the week prior, after stumbling upon it by chance. What can I say… ambience and setting lovely. However that’s it. I found one of the waitresses particularly rude and quite cold. Upon seating us, they firstly forgot to even give us menu’s. I had to go up and ask. Then the lady who took our drinks order, left before we even gave her our food order. Yet again I had to call someone over. Whilst we were waiting (it was well over an hour) we decided to order drinks again. Yet they didn’t arrive until way after food. All 3 of us were given our food at different times. I had eaten my food well before my father got his, and it was a further 15 minutes before my mother got ours. We had the table reserved for 8pm yet my mother got hers not long before the kitchen closed. My mother’s food was chicken fillet with instant potato powder with lumps in . To top it off we were overcharged. 94 euros despite the menu saying it should have been 80. Most expensive restaurant we’ve ate at and worst customer service to date. Would not recommend.

In reply to your response, we did mention how dissatisfied we were that evening. My mother spoke to the waitress when she paid and explained how unhappy we were. It’s completely unacceptable that all 3 of us were eating at separate times. None of our food arrived together. My mother paid by card and when she told me the bill I was mortified. According to the prices on your menu you have overcharged us. Greater care needs to be taken to avoid this...

We have just come back from spending a lovely day down at sunset beach bar.we were greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely smile from one of the waitresses who informed us that the sun loungers were free if you brought food and drink.we were planning to do that so the beds were an added bonus,I had a lovely pina colada to get things going.we were at the pool side at the back which was lovely and quiet for a while,kids being kids in a very small area made us get up and move to right on the front on the comfy loungers. We went for a beer at lunch to accompany the HUGE club sandwich that was more than enough for 2 people(it was for my wife)she ate half because it was so big.i opted for the chicken Caesar salad and I can say Iv never in 44 years seen a salad that size!!it was incredible so fresh,chicken perfect,croutons the sauce was lovely too.i couldn’t get anywhere near finishing it.we had a couple more beers in the afternoon and paid up 60€ for all that was an absolute bargain.we will definitely be back the service was great and the music all day was so good(I’m not sure if it was from the beach bar or surrounding areas but it was brilliant)don’t hesitate to get down there if you can because you won’t be...

The location of Sunset Bar and Restaurant is beautiful, with a lovely view, especially around sunset. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not live up to the setting. The food itself was just okay – nothing particularly memorable, neither very good nor very bad. What really made the evening disappointing was the service. Everything took an extremely long time: from placing our order, to getting our drinks, to finally receiving our meals. We spent most of the evening just waiting, which really took away from the atmosphere.

If you don’t mind waiting a long time and only want an average meal with a nice view, this place might work. But if you’re looking for efficient service and a dinner to enjoy without frustration, I would not...
