An Unforgettable Experience at Terris – More Than Just a Meal!
My visit to Terris wasn't just a dining experience—it was a heartfelt encounter with a genuine, kind, and humble person. Before I stumbled upon this hidden gem, my trip to Rhodes felt like a wrong decision, a bit boring even. But after visiting Terris, I realized that this is what traveling is all about—the human connections that leave a lasting impact.
The food? Simply amazing! The prices? In a city filled with overpriced touristy spots, Terris offers authentic Greek cuisine at great value. The quality is outstanding, with natural flavors and traditional dishes that take you straight to the heart of Greece. It’s not just food; it’s an authentic experience that’s becoming rare nowadays.
The atmosphere of the place is both charming and simple, filled with details that make it truly special. Watching Terris wife prepare the food and seeing Terris himself, full of warmth, guiding us through the menu, made us feel right at home. He’s incredibly generous, even treating us to fresh fruit and his special homemade shots!
On a personal level, Terry is a wonderful human being. Despite the language barrier, with his limited English, he managed to communicate beautifully through his gestures and expressions. As Syrians, we connected deeply when he tearfully spoke about the tragedy of Syrian refugees drowning near the Greek islands. I will never forget the tears streaming down his face—it was a moment that showed his immense kindness and empathy.
Terris place is now a daily stop for the rest of my trip. With a variety of dishes to choose from, I know I won’t find a place more authentic and full of heart than this.
Thank you, Terry, for turning my Rhodes experience into something truly unforgettable.
P.S: We ordered a beer, eggplant salad, pita bread, an incredibly delicious moussaka, and a beef dish (not sure of the exact name) that was of very high quality. The portions were generous enough to satisfy two people, and we only paid 30 euros...
Read moreThe best place to eat in Rhodes! A lovely little cafe/bar/restaurant/whatever you want it to be. Me and my partner passed a few times and decided to go in one night and ask if they could do a takeaway for us as we were super tired. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating and made us the most delicious meal we have had in our time here (and that is saying something). The atmosphere was so cosy and lovely- it is a very small family run (I’m assuming) restaurant- they have made it so picturesque while coming across as truly authentic. It is the perfect spot for a chilled dinner/lunch/ even breakfast. Everytime we have drove past it has been packed so clearly the meals they do at all times of day are great! They also notably had a large range of dishes from spag bol to more traditional Greek food. For 2 meals and 2 alcoholic drinks it came to 23€ ! We tipped and they even gave us some free beer to thank us- a great experience, will...
Read moreI had already eaten here in 2016, several times during my holiday, and really enjoyed the food and the ever-so-friendly Terry. Very friendly, good food and just the right amount. Now back in 2025 and have eaten here several times again. Nothing has changed, still the same friendliness, the food is exactly the same and therefore still delicious and good, and not too much or too little. It's a shame that the old kitchen is no longer there, a small, spacious room where the pans were stacked and the plates too, but delicious food came/comes out of it. The prices are still good, not too expensive and really good value for money, compared to many restaurants in Rhodes where the food is not quite authentic, as many people say, but at Terry's it is. And for those who don't think so, I have only one thing to say: "You don't know what...
