English ⚠️ Be very careful which road you take! There’s an old, rough road – and Google Maps tried to send us that way from Pachia Ammos. We tried it… and almost got stuck: steep, full of rocks, absolutely not suitable for a regular car. You can reach the place using the “main road” – just don’t blindly trust Google, double-check your route first!
This was our first goat experience on the island, and it was excellent – very authentic food, friendly staff, and great service. They served a wonderfully fragrant cake for dessert, which was a lovely surprise. Beautiful views, and at the end, you can even buy cheese or local olive oil from them.
The only downside: they had a “sausage” on the menu that turned out to be a processed wurst – a bit strange to find next to a roasted goat leg. We didn’t try it, but we were already full from...
Read moreWhat can you say about this place... Well first of all we're talking about the essence of a traditional mountain greek tavern, where you only want a fine piece of meat (in this case goat) , a decent greek salad and something to drink. Not only that, we ordered stuffed red pepper with feta and kaseri cheese , tzatziki , fried potatoes, and all were perfect. In the end, we were treated with yoghurt, kydoni and ravani. 10/10, amazing! Forgot to say about the views: gorgeous view of the Aegean sea on top of...
Read moreProbably THE sundowner location of Samothraki - even better than in Chora (which is also a very place to be☝️). And…the goat meat from a complete goat on a charcoal grill is another great highlight of this restaurant. I never ate such good meat from goat, sheep or lamp so far! It was served with chips and Zaziki.
Just make your own experience at this welcoming place with very kind hosts!
P.S. Normally I give such a rating only for really good 2 or 3 ⭐️-Michelin restaurants and “Paradisos” is...
