Finistrini — Restaurant in Municipality of Sitia

A nice restaurant with a very nice location in the center of Paleikastro, where you can watch the outside while having your meal. We sat down for dinner. The waitress who took care of us was very polite and interested.

We ordered Dakos, Tzatziki, Lamb Chops and Kebab. Our beverage choice was white house wines. The dishes were very good both in presentation and taste. They only burned the lamb chops a bit. Other than that, there were no problems. Their wines were also very light, easy to drink and non-irritating house wines. We also liked the wine.

Nice restaurant, food was good but I was really disappointed that in a village instead of offering traditional Cretan dishes they were offering dishes you can find everywhere (e.g. schnitzel). My personal opinion is that when in Crete you have to try local dishes to experience something new and not try the same things you eat where you live. They could at least offer a big selection of local dishes and a small selection of basic dishes so that people who don't want to try something new can...

We have tried different restaurants in the area, but always had to come back here. Starting from the service, a very nice and kind person, helping to choose the food, always with a friendly smile.
