Congratulations Mr Costas Amanaki for ruining my family dinner.Your parents treated us nice 25 years ago when we first came with my wife.You will not hand over same tradition to your successors!Reserved a table through e restaurant.Called the next day to secure ,they told me they never had such.I booked again through them directly table for 4.Called same day to secure fresh fish(as most served is deep frozen).Result?Arrived on time,served after 90 minutes main course!!!!(lobster needed cooking for so much they said!!!)Pasta was overboilled maybe that was the reason!Then after waiting for 15 minutes for the bill went into the kitchen to just find out that he was not told by waiters about it!To my complaints reply was,just pay and go!Nice polite manners....Forgot to mention that though I had booked lobster about 1 kg,upon our arrival the waitress advised Mr Costas had also booked for me one more fish 2 kh more.Obviously they ha e some.minimum spending amount and obviously one lobster was not enough!Embarassing me in front of my...

For 10 days on the island we have not had one bad food experience except for here. In the menu they try to show off with sophisticated ingredients and poetic descriptions (according to them), but for any food lover it's just sad. On our visit, half of the items were missing, including their "world famous" fish soup. To try that, we were offered to bring in our own fish and wait for 45 minutes for them to cook it... Everything else that we ordered (dried out and drenched in grease anchovies and calamari, peppers and cheese from a can, dolmades with chewy grape leaves and undercooked rice, probably even store-bought) was quite unappetizing, including the fries, which on Crete, where they are freshly cut, is almost impossible. Have been travelling to Crete tens of times since 2013, visited a lot of places all over the island and tried tens of restaurants all over. This is definitely the best restaurant I have tried in Crete. Went for dinner 3 times, same conclusion each time - outstanding in all aspects. Setting by the sea with amazing views, very friendly service and food at a very high standard. I'm still surprised and overwhelmed by the experience, looking forward to come back while in Crete again. People who don't give 5 stars for the food probably don't understand anything about good and tasty food.
