Agali — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Lefkimmi, in particular Potamion down by the river has several restaurants and cafes . In their own right they are all good, but there is a jewel that shines brightly among them all, and that is the Agali. Having eaten there on several nights, we thought the food couldn’t get any better, but we were wrong. Each night the food surpassed the night before. The meals were generous portion-wise, seasoned to perfection and when we ordered a meat dish, the meat was tender.

Dining is though is more than the food, it’s an experience. We had an exceptional dining experience thanks to all the restaurant team From the moment we were seated, they were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They provided excellent recommendations, and their. timing was impeccable; drinks were refilled promptly.

The only one positive thing about this restaurant it’s a half Greek-half English lady who was extremely nice but unfortunately she left (guess she finished her shift) so she couldnt deal with us. The other lady was dropping everything around our table, took her ages to bring something to stop the wasps coming round us. The worst part of the meal was steak. My boyfriend asked for medium-rare and he got rare steak! He tried a bit on the edges but he could not eat that as the meat was raw. We did mention that to the waitress but in the end she still charged us for something we have complained about and for something he did not finish. We also have been charged €1.50 for the bread we did not order. Terrible customer service. Avoid at all cost. We left angry and disappointed and my bf left hungry. The worst €40 spent on the island. Starters were good. Fish was unfortunetly overcooked and i doubt it was "fresh catch of the day" It cost 17€ i grilled same fish from Lidl day before and it tasted similar. Bad thing is they forgot to bring garlic bread i ordered after they brought the fish. We waited like 15mins only for garlic bread! If you consider the price of the fish also that it is not served with side it is really expensive for such quality. Also they didnt have like 4 or 5 meals from the menu including meals like moussaka. I am giving 2 out of 5 because they brought fruit as the apology .
