LA VERANDA — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

Forget about dinner at La Veranda! Food was disgusting and service was terrible!

We sat at our table at around 21:45, and waited until 23:15 for four pizzas. The prosciutto pizzas tasted awful - as if they were freshly unfrozen frozen pizzas from the nearest supermarket. A real prosciutto pizza never comes with baked prosciutto and tomatoes on top.

Once we called the manager, he said that it was “busy”, didn’t apologise, was even arrogant by noticing that we had eaten one of the pizzas. Dear, we were starving, we had to eat something.

Instead of compensating for our bad experience, he acted as if we’re mistaken, and made us feel even worse about the place and the atmosphere.

a very nice place with a beautiful view of the river, we used the balcony upstairs, before ordering, the nice lady from the staff brought us a bottle of water and three glasses. We ordered Margarita and Greek pizza + mini burgers. Huge portions, everyone was certainly full. While eating, another nice lady from the staff suggested that if we couldn't eat it all, she would pack the rest for us to take home. We were delighted with the place, the views and, above all, the service. After going downstairs and asking for the bill, I asked twice if I was sure that was all. very attractive prices. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere! Stumbled across this place whilst visiting lefkimmi. Great location next to the river, A Great selection of proper cocktails on offer not the premixed rubbish which we found everywhere else in the area so that kept the wife happy! Plus the mixed meat platter for 2 was delicious (And filling) The staff worked hard here and were very pleasant to us so credit where credits due, Next time I’m in Corfu I’ll be visiting again. 10/10...
