ENGLISH La Dolce Vita is a small pizzeria on Corfu, more precisely in the heart of Moraitika. The owner grew up there and decided to seek his fortune in pizza. He is particularly proud of his self-built wood-fired oven - and rightly so, because it could help to bake real premium pizzas. Could, I write, because from my point of view there is still some potential for optimisation. We had a classic Margherita and a half salami, half Margherita pizza with fresh basil to test. Both pizzas were well baked, but the amount of dough was simply too much. A pizza should not fill you up, but leave you wanting more. These pizzas "beat us to death", because on top of that, the amount of cheese used in each case was simply three to four times what would have been necessary to bring a good pizza to the table. Sometimes less is more - quite apart from the fact that in this case this would have a positive effect not only in terms of taste but also financially - up to three pizzas could be made from one and they would be much tastier because they were not overloaded. It would have been nice if the drinks had been served cold - or at least with ice. At the beginning, the service was a bit grumpy, some might say unfriendly - maybe we were too early - but the Greeks always need some time before the heart comes through... From my point of view, it needs a bit more incentive and enthusiasm - if you think you have the best oven, you shouldn't rest on your laurels, but also try to make the best pizza...so get to work on it! If you liked my review and follow me on my Google Maps profile, I'm happy to hear that - thank you and see you soon.

What a wonderful little place on the main strip of Moraitika. Smells divine as you walk past, irresistible. An extensive menu, flexible with choice. Staff kind and friendly, reasonably priced. Quick service. Only very small but thats also kind of what makes it. Only one thing i would say, my daughter asked for mayonnaise and the chef from behind the counter shouted over 'no. this is not a cafe' bit rude. Our waiter was very lovely.

This shop is actually on the other side of the street. Moraitika has 2 pizzeria shops one accross the other. We went to both. Food here is really nice, but the waiting time was really long, so we ate at the other shop more often. Also the other shop has larger menu I would say. I would guess that the waiting time is probably the main reason why the other pizzeria is seeing way more customers.

Me and my partner ate here last night and it was the worst pizza we ever had. The baked garlic mushrooms was sliced covered in smoked ham and cheese melted in the oven nothing special the. The pizza was disgusting and soggy in the middle and toppings weren't cooked. Told the guy and he was not pleased and very rude about it. Asked to have put back in the oven which he did only to then burn it. Then when we paid he was very rude not even a thank you. Overall a pizza from iceland would've tasted better. Disgraceful...
