This little family run gem is hidden away from your regular tourists. Half of its guests are locals which is always a good sign. The restaurant has gorgeous scenery overlooking the ocean. Cosy and friendly, the owners tend to your every whim. Well below the average prices their food is so delicious. We are here every night for 6 nights, not out of laziness but purely because the culinary skills surpass every other place on the island. Their home-cooked Stifado (a slow-cooked meat dish) is absolutely delicious. Their menu is local, fresh and scrumptious. We stayed at the aquamarine hotel which is also owned by them. The place is such a paradise, you really will want to stay here the whole time. The restaurant always serves your a bonus dessert (panna cotta with cherry sauce, which is pure heaven). Recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the tourist traps and experience REAL Greek traditional cuisine. 5stars to the son of the owner Apollonas, who is always attentive, friendly and helpful😊. His dad - Savvas is also working away despite his ripe age. His mother and elder brother work the kitchen masterfully. We will definitely come...
Read moreExtremely bad service. There were free tables when we get at the tavern and after a long time waiting the main waiter (I say "main" because he was pointing with finger and telling to his colleagues to do kind of strange movements among the tables) to give us the menu he came and said very rude that he will not give as the list of menu because there were too many orders 😐He said that we can only order drinks because we will have to wait for at least half an hour to show us the menu. At first moment me and my husband thought that we haven't understood what he was telling but he repeated the same thing. I can't imagine that a waiter can tell such thing. I can't order, which is something that he is there for. I am wondering why do you have to make taverns with so many tables and capacity if you don't have enough staff for that? And is it really nessecary two guys to serve one souvlaki and one other dish while so many people are waiting(because that was happening on the next table)? My family was with the kids(4 and 6). My son started to cry because he didn't understand why do we have to leave or because he was...
Read moreWe had an exceptional experience at this restaurant, which offers seating overlooking the bay, providing a breathtaking view, especially during evening dinners. Despite most tables being reserved, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated.
The service was impeccable, with the extremely courteous and service-oriented older owner and staff always attentive and eager to fulfill every request. The dishes were delicious, with a standout being the 'Sofrito,' a beef stew served in a clay pot accompanied by freshly baked bread and rice. It was truly delightful, and all the other dishes were equally enjoyable.
We have returned multiple times because we love it here so much. The combination of stunning views, outstanding service, and delicious food makes this restaurant...
