Limanaki Fish Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

We ate here twice, both times to our satisfaction.

The service is very correct: the waiters speak very decent English and communicate clearly. The first time, a Sunday night, the restaurant was very full and the food took a tad over 1.5h to arrive. The waiters told us about this, brought bread with dips and our drinks so the wait was doable. The Red Snapper they served was well worth the wait, I can highly recommend it!

The second time we came was a week day and the service was quick. The grilled octopus they served surprised me positively. This restaurant is truly worth the 5 star rating.

The view is very nice and they play music in the background which creates a very pleasant atmosphere.

Honestly, I don’t understand what’s so difficult about preparing decent grilled fish and calamari. The potatoes served with the fish were undercooked, and the fries that came with the grilled calamari were even worse. Most of the calamari ended up being fed to the cat sitting under our table because it was simply inedible. On top of that, the prices are ridiculously high. The only thing that tasted good was the feta with honey. To make it even stranger, they play music through a phone connected via Bluetooth — so whenever they receive a message, the notification sound blasts through the speakers for everyone to hear. Very small portions is one thing. The food isn’t amazing but not bad. But wait. Check it out. After i ate the octopus, in about 10 minutes, i felt very nauseous and threw up a bunch of times. Please avoid, don’t be fooled by the good reviews.

Edit: i saw your response, I can prove it too with videos that I was sick after eating at your guys’ place. Everything was good, as I mentioned, until I left the place. Even if this didn’t happen, I wouldn’t give more than 2.5 or 3 stars, cause it wasn’t simply that good. Your reviews are very misleading and the food isn’t anywhere near the rating you have.
