I had high expectations based on the reviews, that unfortunately weren't met. The place is decent, nothing special. There is a parking area to leave your car if you don't find a spot at the village 'square'. The food was just OK. Nothing blew me away. The cheese pies with kadaifi crust were tasty but oily. The salads and the tsouchti were mediocre. The sigklino not good. Kayanas was tasty but also oily. My biggest problem was lack of professionalism with the service, or to put it better, they did not match a certain standard required for a restaurant of this category. 2 examples: We ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress didn't offer it to someone to taste it, just opened it and left it on the table. Not a big deal but tells something. The wine came warm they just brought the bottle, no ice bucket or anything when the temperature was like 38 degrees. I had to ask for one, which came after 20 minutes. After paying the bill, we were waiting for some fruits, as it is customary in greek restaurants to offer the fruits for free to their customers, especially if the bill was high. Nothing... We had to ask for it too, then they brought us some melon and watermelon. As I said I was surprised by the quality of the food and the professionalism because the reviews made me expect something better. 3...
Read moreGreat set up, good food but the pizza and customer service was appalling. Hence the 3 star for our experience. We ordered pork tenderloin, byzantine meatballs, mushroom risotto and a ham and mozzarella pizza. All food was tasty and it seemed cooked by a professional chef...not the pizza though! Presentation wise looked like it came from a cheap pizzeria. The cheese was not mozzarella but gouda or similar and there was tonnes of it! That made it very oily, was tasteless and it was impossible to eat. We wouldn't mind if the pizza was exchanged with a smile...instead the restaurant manager and waiter were very unpleasant and seemed like they didn't like the criticism of their awful pizza. Manager in a sarcastic way even told me "you are the only customer that complaint about our pizza". Same guy I heard him trying to explain to a tourist in an unpleasant way that the risotto has "truffa" and if he knows what it is..but was talking about truffle mushrooms... Generally, the restaurant tries hard to provide a higher level of food and service but fails dramatically in most important thing - customer service! I will not be eating...
Read moreTHIS IS THE PLACE TO GO if you are in Mystra’s neighborhood, go up in the hill to discover this very tasty restaurant. It was so good we went there twice in a row!
Their Tzatziki has a very vegetable crunchy taste to it and maybe one of the best we had in Greece! All the salads are made out of fresh and great quality products: the Mediterranean one is really well done and when looking to others, you wish you could taste them all!
The chicken and the kebab and the porc + fried potatoes were also excellent. My daughters were up for pizzas and they were also good. Last but not least, the orange cake desert is a killer and leaves the vanilla ice-cream a bit behind ;) In short: if you are looking for an amazing view over the Mystra’s castle and authentic food made with talent, you found it!
This is indeed not a sponsored comment, I really hope this restaurant gets more visits, they...
