Ιππόκαμπος Ακτή — Restaurant in Municipality of Spata - Artemida

I have been a frequent customer of Ippokampos, for years now, but I will not be going back any time soon. Since its much needed renovation the place looks amazing, but... The coffe served lacks quality and flavor- if the staff behind the bar manages to get the order right-, and the price is ridiculous.. The deck chairs and coffee tables are dirty amd torn, and besides greek legislation regarding their number, Ippokamos seems to defy the legal limits as each year the beach bar expands more and more... I wonder what happens with local authorities.... Last but not least, the staff is extremely rude, incompetent and unthoughtful. Rather than treating a customer as such, customer servise seems to be unheard off in a place higly visited by tourists and locals alike... I never expected to be insulted in the manner I did over a simple missunderstanding over 2 euros.(price difference when you consume coffee on deck chair rather that "to go") Althou it looks good on the outside I urge you to stay away... Clearly the managment and staff prefere to work with 15-18 year old school kids that don't know a better way to spend their hard...

What has happened? 2 cappuccini, sticky plates and spoons, 1 spoon looked like it hasn't been washed at all, the coffees tasted like they have used more water than anything else...the 2nd star is only for the nice presentation and the quick service. The waiter nice, but young and inexperienced, didn't know at all what to say when telling him (my greek friend, not me) that the coffee tasted like water with one coffeebean used.

What a pitty as I had planned to go there more often in spring with my notebook and work from the coffee shop from time with the nice view and having the one or other coffee and snack..... Guess it will sitting at the beach and bringing my own coffee from...

Don't waste your time here. The service was terrible and the staff lacked any understanding of the menu. Our food arrived in batches (some finishing before others received their food), and arrived cold.. cold enough to cool you down from the heat! Cold chips are terrible.. the service at the beach was nothing better.. the only plus side was because we had lunch we didn't have to pay for the beds (you don't pay for the beds you just have to pay for an item). Either way, don't waste your time here.. go to the souvlaki place on the other side of the road then buy a bottle of water when you go to the beds if you want to use the umbrellas. If I could give this 0 stars ,...
