It pains me to give this review, as I thought the food was quite acceptable. However, the restaurant’s dishonest practices should be flagged, especially given the numerous dining options along the sea-walk.

I had recently had a solo dinner in which I ordered the house rosĆ©, bread, the Greek salad, and fried smelt. Unfortunately I was also charged 1€ for water (which I clearly did not ask for, open, or consume) and for ā€œanchoviesā€ at 9€ when the smelt on the menu was 8.50€ (with no heads up about the bait ā€˜n switch)

Were these significant amounts? No. And the full meal was still quite a value as a visitor. But for a restaurant seemingly so on the up-and-up to still be engaging in what I understand to be illegal practices is quite disappointing. Why risk your reputation and customers’ trust over a couple Euros? I even tipped on my bill, which I now regret and feel foolish about, as I only Google Translate’d my bill after leaving the restaurant and didn’t want to return to cause a stink over a couple Euros.

Lesson learned. Always scrutinize your bill before leaving, folks—especially in Greece! And buyer beware before dining at ā€˜The Dolphin’—I hope they take heed and learn from...

The food here is good to ok, 6/10 to be exact. We were off to a good start with the dips and octopus, they were quite good. Next came the rabbit which was cooked well with the meat just falling off with just a touch of the fork, flavour was ok.. almost a bit dry. Chips were average. DO NOT order the razor clams... They were one of the worst dishes I've ever had. They were so small there was literally almost nothing in them. To make matters worse there were only about 10 clams. Additionally the clams were bathed in the same sauce the rabbit was in, it was as though they didn't put any effort into that dish.

Besides that disappointment the staff were great. Very friendly and attentive.

Overall I would say it's a decent place to eat along...

Went there during Christmas Eve, food ( a fixed menu ) was disgusting accompanied by horrible live music. Horrendous experience. Maybe they should stick to seafood and avoid festive menus outside of their comfort zone. I’ve attached a photo of the dessert.. 0 effort nobody touched it, not even in the tables around us.

Edit: You are so unprofessional that instead of admitting your mistake you’re blaming me & my review. I’ve attached another photo from the whole table, did my whole family destroy your dessert for the review? I think not. I hope you change your attitude and be more open in feedback from your customers in order to improve your services...
