Final update: We came here twice this week and we will go again this evening. Everyone has been very nice and did their best to host us. Food is great. Location is their best asset. I would like to thank Rosa and the team in the frontline every evening. This is a great example of recovery ♥️

Update: I called the restaurant as we will visit Pedi again next week. I wanted to ask if we can bring this negative experience to a positive. I believe in second and third chances. This time I spoke with Rosa and she recognized me immediately. She was very kind and said they would like to have us back. I am hopeful. I will report back. For her kindness I am giving three stars and hopefully it will become four stars after our next visit.

We visited this restaurant four times last week, both the restaurant and the beach. Until yesterday we were very pleased. However on our last visit last night we noticed that portions became smaller and prices went up. Last week we ordered shrimp saganki which came with 6 prawns and last night the same order contained only 3 prawns. When we asked the reason the manager asked the owner and the owner just turned around and walked away. When I asked what they can do about it, the manager said she could do something if we paid in cash but cannot do anything since we pay by card. We also noticed the prices were higher than the week before. We are guessing due to holiday in Turkey. It is a disappointment because we liked them. We don't like opportunistic behavior...
English version I had really high expectations for this place because from the outside it looks really nice from an aesthetic point of view and some tables are located on the sea in a very relaxed atmosphere accompanied by typical music, but unfortunately I was disappointed a lot: there are many guys who take care of the service and they are not adequately trained, some of them do not even know English, the service often gets stuck and the waiting times, at least in our case, were very long especially for ordering and for taking away the finished dishes, despite the fact that the girl who took our orders was very nice and kind. We had the grilled octopus which, all in all, was not bad even if it was burnt and gummy in some parts and the moussaka, good but I don't recommend it if you don't like cinnamon because you can sense it a lot. They don't have pita bread but they do serve some very good olive oil and oregano bread. At the end of the meal they offer watermelon which given the waiting times, arrived after we asked for the bill and were about to leave, I didn't find it fresh or tasty, unfortunately I also found a hair in the dish (I don't exclude it could be mine but I doubt it). The prices are a bit high: for a moussaka, a grilled octopus (considered an appetizer), some bread and a bottle of sparkling water, we spent €37. Overall a real shame given the location and the atmosphere, I hope it can improve above all because the conditions to do it are there. Also if you are interested, the restaurant also offers the possibility of using a small, very nice adjacent beach by choosing from three types of sunbeds: the basic one for €7.50, the one with a mattress for €15 and a type with a sort of "little house" around it for €20, the price includes water and a...
Read moreKatsaras Beach Bar in Pedi is a fantastic spot with friendly service and a prime location. The beach is spotless, the water crystal clear with hardly any rocks, making it perfect for swimming. Front-row loungers are €40 a pair.. that price includes water, a fresh fruit platter, and complimentary snacks like a small dip plate when you order wine. We thought the extras made it well worth it. Some complain about the cost, but plenty of places in Greece charge €30+ for just the beds with nothing included - if you really want rock-bottom prices, you’re probably better off in Benidorm.
If the front row feels too much, the second and back rows are cheaper, so there’s always a choice. My only negative is that the umbrellas don’t lower (pretty standard for Greece), but if you prefer full sun, the second row is actually better. All in all, it’s a relaxed, welcoming place to spend the day and we definitely...
