I have to update my previous review because this place has gone from quite good to quite bad.
What has changed : (as of July 25)
They stopped taking dinner reservations unless you are a group of 5. So , although some good tables by the seaside might be empty, they make couples to sit under the canopy and under white lights, which really kills the tavern by the seaside vibe. Why do they punish couples ? No idea.
There’s only one person to take orders, and naturally he’s very overworked and sligtly grumpy. And , you have to wait for him to come to your table for a long time even to ask for water. So, don’t go there when you are hungry.
Another dissapointment is their lack of choice in ouzos. They only serve one type. We’re in Greece, for Christ’s sake.
Once you manage to order, the food comes quite fast, and it’s good, although not great.
The prices are more reasonable compared to the other tavern at Pedi.
Sorry for this review, but we come to Symi and this place for years, and this year we had the worst experience.

Lovely little tavern on the sea. The food is fresh, tasty and great value for money. The portions are more than sufficient. The service is friendly and efficient. They can do a bit more with the atmosphere, but overall, a very good option at Pedi. I can recommend croquette de courget...
Read moreIt's a tricky one this. We were here 3 times and the food was fantastic as was the service during the first 2 visits. However our 3rd visit was marred by the most appalling service that we received the whole time we were in Rhodes and Symi, in fact, as long as I can remember. To their credit, the three hapless men seemed to send out an SOS to the excellent young lady who had previously been present during our earlier visits at around 9pm to come and save them and she duly appeared in a taxi, to take control and save what was left of that evening's service. I could go into all that went wrong, but suffice to say, it was a complete disaster, but food when we got it was superb. Being generous with a 4* but I need to balance the excellent...
Read moreWe anchored in the bay in front of the taverna on the marina side of the bay and went over in the dinghy. They are in the process of opening up but we managed to find a place to tie up the dinghy. Nicholas was very nice and helpful and brought us chilled beers instantly. It was an exceptionally hot day and the beers were very welcome while we checked the menu. The taverna was shaded and on the water edge We had a very fresh salad and fried courgette served with the best Tzatziki we’ve ever tasted. Nicholas and Yorgis were amazingly helpful in directing us to find a spare alternator belt in-fact Nicholas jumped on to his bike and picked it up for us What a wonderful service and thank you so much. We...
