Bolas Restaurant Syros — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

If you're looking for an authentic and truly delicious dining experience in Syros, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! We ended up coming back three times during our stay because, after trying others, this was by far the best on the island. The restaurant is directly on the beach and has a relaxed atmosphere.

Every dish we had was a testament to genuine Greek food made with prime ingredients. The fresh fish was outstanding – I even had the pleasure of being invited into the kitchen to choose our fish before it was cooked! The grilled calamari and fresh grilled fish were particular highlights, cooked to perfection. Beyond the seafood, all the Greek classics were spot-on (pork souvlaki with fries, OMG), and their amazing bread was dangerously good. I'm not an expert, not greek, but we visited other places in the city and around, this is the one to beat!

I had the most amazing burger. I was surprised to be told they had a burger as Bolas normally has a very varied but slightly unique offering, usually not just the run of the mill (one of the main reasons I eat here). Anyway this was more of a creation meal in a bun, it was the best. The cuts of meat was fillet quality with a lovely taste and texture and an extremely generous amount. Beautiful place, right on the beach, all the staff are so incredibly friendly. It coexists with hotel kamel. I have made friends with many people here. There are regulars who have been coming here for decades, who are also very open and friendly. I don't want to ever leave. The owner, Sophia is endlessly welcoming and friendly, she even showed me a cool card game.
