Braziliana Snack Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

Well, the location is nice but I would not say the same for the service and the atmosphere. We visited twice during our stay on the island (July 2023). The first time we were served by a nice guy, really kind and talkative. The man gave us such a good impression about the place that we decided to go back again. By the way, the man who served us is not a local. He told us that he moved to Syros three years ago. Unfortunately, we never asked his name, but he is a nice guy.

So, two days after our first visit we returned to the place, hopping to have some dinner and drinks. This time, we served from a 'lady'. In reality we never did because we left the place after her rude and ignorant attitude. We chose to sit at a table of 4 at the balcony (the place is so small that actually that was the only available place to sot). We were two indeed but speaking in Greek. We are actually Scottish - Greeks. At the table next to us two French were sitting who had ordered a coca cola between them 🤣. The waitress approached us and with a rude and ignorant attitude asked us to move place sitting pretty much nowhere, because the table that we were sitting at it was reserved by apparently ghosts (she asked us to move when we asked her to tidy the table, goodness we asked a waitress to tidy a table, but we asked in Greek) and we could not sit at a table of four. Those French at the next table were also two sitting at a table of four, but they were French, speaking in French.

Poor girl with really poor manners. Feel sorry for ignorant and socially uneducated people. Feel sorry also for the nice guy who has to...

We had the best time , meal and conversation at Braziliana. Antonis is such a great and friendly host. Not only we had a delicious meal but we also left with a list of reccomendations for places to eat and visit around the island! We did not have any drinks but everything that we ate was very good. Huge plus - the amazing veiw from the window over the port. All four of us agreed that this place was a great success and we will definetly be back if up again...

Walking from Syros port up to St. George church, it was so hot and we are so thirsty. It was like we found a heavenly oasis. The owner/staff so nice, greeted us with cold water, like he knows that we are so so thirsty ans it is not just only that he very kind and friendly. Too bad we are not very hungry so we had frappe and ice cream which are very good. I would come here everyday if I could for the view, the atmosphere, the friendly people...
