Kantouni — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

The best seafood lunch in my trip. I arrived at Kantouni at the middle of the busiest lunch time. I was quickly sat down at a table and served water. We order grilled mixed seafood plate. Looking at the crown I was thinking we would have to wait for a good while. However we got our food within 10 minutes. The seafood was very fresh, well cooked and delicious. When there’s a small area of locals doing business like this, I hesitate to write a bad review. We were forced here from our boat tour and almost all places seemed similar. This was my least favorite meal in all of Europe.

If you are Greek don’t set foot in that place to eat . This is a typical tourist money grab restaurant.We ordered Kalamakia and the only thing that they gave us is 3 -4 tiny peaces of meat without a kalamaki in small plates . To the other foreigner tourists they were giving normal sized kalamakia in a stick . The food was not very well prepared, it took a long time for them to serve us . I definitely do not recommend to any Greek to visit this place . Also the staff is loud , they yell to each other loudly and rude ....
