I really wanted to like Qhera after all the glowing reviews - and the luxurious speedboat pickup from Ammoudi Bay was an incredible start for the special occasion we were celebrating. Unfortunately we found that this restaurant didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The staff were really friendly - but despite them assuring me over email that they could cater for vegetarians, there really weren’t many options - aside from removing primary ingredients from dishes on their menu. Their pricing and marketing gives the impression of fine dining, but we found the service patchy even though there were hardly any patrons. They forgot our side dish - and then brought it when I had finished my main (and my partner was about 2 bites off finishing his too). They did kindly comp this.
The music stopped halfway through our meal and never resumed, which was a bit awkward. All of this we would have forgiven, had we not asked for two espresso martinis and ended up with two absolutely undrinkable cold weak filter coffees mixed with vodka - which also ended up being comped as we didn’t drink them. Gauging from the other reviews, this might have been a rare bad experience - and the view was absolutely stunning so that’s a plus - but we really wish we’d celebrated our special occasion in one of the buzzing restaurants in Ammoudi...
Read moreWe came to the restaurant to have a drink and enjoy the view but the staff and some senior manager they were very rude to us. Didn’t even allow us to sit. It seems there was a table reserve but there was no one and the person for whom the table was reserved was supposed to show up in another 2 to 3 hours we were there only for a drink. Maybe for half an hour But the staff was very mean and rude and they asked us to leave the restaurant as it is lunchtime and if you want to have a drink we can serve you and you can sit back or leave. We also inform them that we have a boat in another 20 minutes, we will just sit and enjoy the view and have a drink at your place but they clearly denied. We requested them to just take a picture. They were very clear. We do not allow any pictures or any thing of that sort. We Are tourist, and we felt that it was completely racist to us, very bad and very poor hospitality. If there would be a Rating in minus/negative, I would rate them in...
Read moreWe dined here for the first time. It is a new place and they need some constructive criticism because with the prices they charge, everything should be perfect. The location and scenery is fantastic. The welcoming staff made us feel right at home. Now for the negatives. The prices are insane, even for high end Greek restaurants. 16 euro for 4 covers (bread). The water is 4euro and a small bottle (200ml) of greek grappa 28 Euro. They are very expensive and probable counting on tourists only coming one time with these prices. I had to ask the waitress 3 times and took her 20 minutes to bring me a beer. They also brought everyone's meal out in different times. 4 of us had finished our meals before they brought the last person's food. In a restaurant that charges these prices, the service should be impeccable. That being said, they are a new place and need to work out some kinks. I think with the proper training of staff in high end dining, they can accomplish what...
