My most favourite restaurant in Tinos. We were welcomed by smiling faces and lot of warmth. The whole experience was so authentic and amazing. It was as if we are visiting close family members or friends for dinner rather than a commercial place, amazing vibes! The food is heavenly as it’s sourced locally and most of stuff comes from owners backyard. Visit here if you are longing for top most organic quality and local culinary delights. We tasted various stuffs from menu, the two times we visited including fennel fritters, cheese and veg from oven, amazing salads (best in my life !) oven cooked goat, fresh vegetables like fried zucchini with no frills, traditional rice and lever.. all food was out of this world ! You really have to visit here when you are in Tinos. Hope to visit again soon ! Thank you for all the love and affection for...
Read moreNikos and Katerina are the couple who run this haven in Ayeto Folia village. It’s the start of the season and still quiet so we were the only people there when we arrived at this colourful and vibrant hidden gem up the slope into the village. Fried cheese pies in fine pastry covered in sesame seeds and honey were ridiculously scrumptious. Baked feta and vegetables came next with mushrooms in white wine and lemon. We’re not meat eaters but given the locally sourced everything I was certainly tempted for the first time in ages. Wow. We ended up talking with them and meeting their uncle, raising a toast to the gods with Raki and home made halva on the house. New friends and...
Read moreMy wife and I ate lunch here on our honeymoon today, following a recommendation from the hire car company. We’ve been in Greece one week having first been to Santorini and now for several days on Tinos. We have eaten out every day and have not spared a penny in doing so and this taverna was, by far, the best place we have eaten!
We ate a green salad with tomatoes, figs and artichoke and it was out of this world. We also shared a grilled halloumi with honey dish and the mushrooms cooked in white wine and lemon and all of these dishes were divine. The service by the chap who owns this restaurant as well as his young daughter was excellent and offered with such grace and humility.
Eating here created memories that will never be forgotten. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tinos as...
