We visited Tinos for our vacation, and before arriving, we researched the island's best restaurants. We tried all the top-rated spots, and without a doubt, Tarsanás stood out as the best of them all – not only for its delicious food, but also for the warm, welcoming staff and the beautiful sunset views. This place had everything we were looking for, especially that authentic Greek island vibe and cultural charm. I read some of the negative reviews and honestly, I don't get the complaints like stray cats around or waiters chatting with their friends... Shouldn't those be part of what makes the atmosphere so authentic, relaxed, and enjoyable? After all, we're on holiday – isn't that exactly the spirit we’re looking for? Everyone at Tarsanás was genuinely kind and friendly. A special shout-out to Mike (I assume his name is Michalis in Greek), who was radiating good energy and seemed to truly enjoy what he was doing! As for the food – we had grilled red mullets, anchovies, grilled sardines, steamed mussels, and a variety of appetizers. Everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. We went to Tarsanás on the first night of our trip, and although we tried other restaurants during our stay, we chose to return there for our final dinner. It was the perfect way to end our vacation. I wholeheartedly recommend Tarsanás – for the food, the people, the view, and the genuine Greek island experience....
Read moreDisappointing Experience – Not Recommended Our visit to this seafood restaurant was, unfortunately, anything but pleasant. From the moment we arrived, the service was noticeably rude and disrespectful — a first impression that sadly remained consistent throughout the evening. While placing our order, we were abruptly interrupted and told that we had ordered "enough already." This statement was not only inappropriate but simply incorrect, as we were still in the middle of ordering. The staff came across as disinterested, inattentive, and lacking any sense of hospitality. We've rarely encountered service this poor. The food itself did little to redeem the experience. The dishes arrived lukewarm, tasted mediocre at best, and were significantly overpriced for the quality provided. To make matters worse, several stray cats were roaming freely through the restaurant, which raised serious hygiene concerns and made the dining experience quite uncomfortable. By the time we left, not only were we still hungry, but also considerably out of pocket — and for an evening that offered no real enjoyment. To top it off, even a small tip was ignored without so much as a thank you. Bottom line: This was a visit we won’t be repeating. If you value friendly service, quality food, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere, you’ll want to...
Read moreSad. Would give a negative if possible. Started out well with 6€ house sweet red wine. Went downhill from there. Food was delicious. Worst deal, however, was the "octopus" for 14€; we received one overcooked octopus leg. Asked for the bill twice and received it promptly... 15 minutes later. Water was 3€. Makes sense as a service fee, I suppose. Bread was 3€, except for the fact we didn't even receive any bread. That's 6€ just for sitting down without food. The octopus was listed for 14€, and the bill was 15€. We asked about this, and the response was, "It's priced per kilo." The menu, however, says 14€ for the octopus, to which we pointed and the waiter had initially confirmed. After the waiter talked with the manager at length, he agreed to remove the 3€ charge for the bread we had not received and the 1€ overcharge for the already ridiculously overpriced octopus leg. We travel to Greece almost annually, been in 7 islands for 1 month just this time around, and this is the first time we've experienced something like this. Happy other reviewers had such a good experience, but this was certainly a low...
