Review: Start with the annoying guy at the front who has the fish on ice, and is given a commission to sell you the most expensive catch of the day - most of which wasn't fresh.
Now the food itself, which had very little actual taste - and Greek food is tasty! We ordered the usual suspects: tarama, eggplant puree, tzatziki (all resembled cat food and had no flavor), fava, a Greek salad + shrimps, barbounia and soubri (mackerel). It was all tasteless and mediocre!
Not to mention we found a small bug in the salad and they did nothing when we told them about it but say 'ahh, it happens!'
The only good part about this place is the location, but there are much better places around it. I don't want to mention a specific place for it will seem as I trying to promote another and I'm not. I want to make sure people don't eat @ Yalos bc it's an affront to Greek food,
Lastly the woman who runs the place is very cold, I think she's lived in Australia prior to Greece. She will seat you wherever she sees fit regardless of your reservation, and she...
Read moreVery beautiful place with excellent service! Welcomed as we were passing by for the first visit, with a warm smile and friendly exchange, not pushy at all when we said we were going to have a walk along the street and may be back. We then came back and sat down on Saturday 14th September - the service we received was very good and attentive and the bread was exquisite! Everything we ordered was so freshly made and the bread was warm when we had it (they brought it out prior to us ordering).
We then came back a second time for just drinks and would have something small to eat and again we were welcomed with a friendly familiar face who remembered us and seated us. The service was very very good and the servers were again very attentive - we asked about local ouzo and the server gave us so many recommendations and tips for next visits to Greece! They were all very happy and relaxed, the service felt 5 star without even trying! Thank you for bringing big smiles to all...
Read moreMy wife and me went there to check some local seafood restaurant, unfortunately this was probably worst choice in neighbourhood.
We have ordered fried sardines and octopus in vinegar for starters and this was only good choice. Those were decent but not the best. Octopus was obviously from can, which would not be problem if not the price - 8€.
For main dishes we got seafood risotto, which was barely edible, it was way too salty. My wife got fried mules, got only 5 pieces and they were less than good.
As it comes to service, staff was polite but definitely not professional. We got served in this way, starter-main dish-main dish-starter. We were charged for water that we did not order, as it was open by waiter we expected to be complementary. As we could not eat this risotto we asked for bread, got 3 pieces and charged additional 1 €.
So go on your own risk,...
