A warm welcome, good menu, quick service, though remember that food is cooked to order, some on a great big out door grill so not "fast food", just wholesome local dishes. The meats from the grill are very large portions, easily enough for two. The largest pork chop I have ever seen, salads fresh and equally generous. Also enjoys views over the sea and sunsets. There's parking close by and few steps up to the main terrace, so access is not too bad. As always the seafood salad is a delight and any of the fish too. Remember it's priced by the kilo, not portion, so can sometimes seem pretty expensive, but is freshly grilled and delicious. Sunset can be enjoyed from your table, pretty much through the season. Check for the daily specials, not always on the menu. 2025 sees a new front of house team, who are not yet masters of their profession. But are improving daily. The food is as good as always, and the sunset view is one...
Read moreHow anyone can complain about the portion sizes here is beyond me. For the price it was extremely reasonably portioned. My girlfriend and I took a “risk” after reading the mixed reviews, and this place blew us away. We sat and watched the sun go down over kalamata in the distance amongst an extremely friendly atmosphere and feasted on an incredible meal. We were seated with bread and oil (70c!) then started with the Greek salad to share and grilled courgette - super as with most places in Greece - then from the grill my girlfriend had the pork steak and I had the slow roasted lamb with potatoes. Both were so big we struggled to finish and absolutely delicious. The pork steak was huge and perfectly cooked, the two large joints of lamb melted off the bone. We also had a half litre of the house red and a large beer. Total came to under 35€. Outstanding little place right on the...
Read moreThe location is fabulous, and the food was good, but did not merit a 189 euros bill. The catch of the day was fresh but seriously underwhelming for that price for a family of five. The fish was just slapped on the grill without any seasoning. Before this, the most expensive bill this 3-week trip has been around 95 euros — at some seriously gourmet restaurants. The mussels in tomato sauce and feta were fabulous. The Greek Salad was just ok. The olive oil served with the crusty bread was delicious. The house white wine was pretty good, too. The roasted vegetables were overcooked. I’d give this restaurant 4 stars for the food (mainly for the mussels and bread/olive oil), but knocked it down to 3 stars when factoring in the price. If you stay away from the catch of the day you should be fine, but the fresh fish was...
