Chrisopetro — Restaurant in Municipality of Western Samos

We have seen many restaurants on Samos, many with very similar okay-ish food, professionell service in a more less nice location. The Chrisopetro truly stands out. If you go to this place it is not just another tzatziki, moussaka, Greek salad place, they put lots of effort and talent into offering Greek dishes with a twist. Their best dishes (Red Snapper Carpaccio for example) comes close to Michelin 1-star quality. But all dishes are prepared from an excellent cook that distinguishes this restaurant far from the average stuff. This is supported by a very nice and prompt service - one of the owners gives every day her very best and delivers top-service: professional and with devotion and soul. Poor service, long waiting despite the restaurant being just 2/3 full, pricey. The food itself was very tasty, the menu is not generic. The staff forgot to bring us the ordered beverages. After 20 minutes of waiting we had to re-order. Then they took one of the appetizers to a wrong table and left us without it since they had ran out of it. Main dishes: for 12 euros one would expect to get more than just two stuffed calamari (with feta and tomatoes, nothing too fancy). Spaghetti came with way too much feta, otherwise they were tasty (cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, cooked in white wine). 1/4 l of open white wine was 3,5 euros, 1 l of sparkling water 3 euros. Great oceanview and lovely atmosphere. Hotel and restaurant is familyowned and you really feel that they take pride in providing the best service and cooking possible. Staff was very friendly and service minded. ||||Enjoy the best cooking in Samos at Chrysopetro, (we know because we took a trip across the island and tried out all). With a panoramic view over the ocean and staff that are very caring and service minded, the dining is an experience.||||The rooms are basic but you can hear the ocean waves while falling asleep and the view from the room is breathtaking.
