Galini – A slice of authentic Greek Samos life Our stay at Galini in Samos was truly memorable! This family-run taverna and guesthouse is located close to the sea, in a peaceful and picturesque spot that captures the spirit of traditional island living. Dimitris, the owner, welcomed us with genuine warmth and made us feel like part of the family. The food was exceptional – traditional recipes prepared with care and cooked in a real wood-fired oven, which gave everything a unique, homely taste. We especially loved the chicken baked in the wood oven, the homemade pizza, and the pasta with tender beef, which our kids couldn't get enough of. The onion pie was rich and flavorful, the Greek salad was huge and bursting with freshness, and the homemade tzatziki was exactly how it should be – authentic. Don’t miss the zucchini fritters, they were crispy and perfect! We also stayed at one of Galini’s apartments, near the sea. The room was spotless, quiet,very clean and ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring or lounging by the coast. One of the best meals we had in Samos! Our first time at Galini in Limnionas, and it truly impressed us.

We had the oven-baked lamb, slow-cooked and full of flavor, the wood-fired chicken, perfectly juicy and tender, the homemade tzatziki, a huge fresh Greek salad!, and an incredibly tasty onion pie!!!. We also tried the calamari, which was lightly cooked – just right!!! Every single dish tasted homemade and carefully prepared.

The place is very clean, relaxed, and comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming – you really feel taken care of.

It’s 100% worth coming here, no matter where you are on the island. And don’t miss the nearby beach – one of the most beautiful in Samos, just 2 minutes away on foot.

If you want a real taste of Samos, Galini Restaurant in Limnionas is the place to go. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed — the setting is calm, green, and just a short walk from the beach.

The food feels homemade in the best way possible. We had the slow-cooked lamb from the wood oven, which was so tender it fell apart, along with their famous onion pie, a huge fresh Greek salad, and perfectly cooked calamari. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care.
