This is the FIRST time ever I did not leave a tip! A young guy, with no smile on his face, almost rude, took my order. I was by myself and ordered 3 dishes which could be considered as "appetizers" and 1 main dish (all fish/seafood). He brought the main dish and 1 appetizer first and the rest 2 appetizers after 5-10 minutes. No salt/pepper/olive oil were on the table (pretty much standard in Greek taverns/restaurants); just 3 pieces of bread (which they did not charge for some reason). At the end of my meal I asked another guy (I think it was the boss) if I could get the food that had remained, to go. Instead of taking the plates and bringing me the food container back, the waiter brought the food container to the table, for me to gather the food myself and take it with me.. The bill for 4 dishes (2 fish, 1 octopus, 1 shrimps) and 1 coke was 40 euros, which was ok, since I was 1 person and did not split the dishes. However, they did not offer any treat at the end of the meal (sweet or fruit), which is also customary.. Today the taverna was extremely busy, so service was slow, and several things were finished for the day. but calamari, one of our favourites was available.
