Not sure about giving this review but I thought I should.
Firstly, no complaints about the food. Size and taste spot on. I read some recent reviews complaining about this and they are wrong. Order less than you think. They feed you well.
Secondary, location is exactly what you want from a Greek taverna. On the waters edge with the moon rising over the water.... Perfect.
Finally. The service.
I think we may have been at fault but this was our first night here. We arrived at about 10.30. I just assumed that on a Friday night on the beautiful tourist coast, places would stay open late.
We were told the kitchen was closing after our order. Towards midnight we felt we were chased out of the restaurant. It was not pleasant BUT I am happy to accept we were we at fault.
On a final note, I was sure that I saw on the menu that a service charge was included in the bill. When it came we could not decipher if it was or not. I didn't want to be combative and ask to see the menu again and the staff were less than friendly at this stage (think removing speakers!). No one felt like tipping. Again, we may have been at fault here.
So, we may have been a large group too late on a Friday night at the height of summer or the service sucked.
Try this place. It was good. We may have just caught it at the wrong time. Again, food and location spot on.
And for the guy who monitors this account.. Sorry if we were bad. Also, I love...
Read moreAs I embarked upon a seaside dining experience, I found myself captivated by the breathtaking views that awaited me. The restaurant, nestled perfectly on the water's edge, offered a tranquil escape from the fast-paced world outside. Though the cuisine may not have been the pinnacle of culinary excellence, the genuine charm and serene ambiance made for an unforgettable experience.
The menu, although not particularly adventurous, boasted a variety of seafood classics that were suitable for any palate. From the fish and chips to the lobster rolls, the dishes were crafted with care and presented in an artful manner. The service, while not flawless, was attentive and amicable, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.
But what truly set this establishment apart was the setting itself. The sound of the waves lapping against the shore and the refreshing sea breeze made for an unparalleled atmosphere. As I savored my meal, I was transported to a simpler time, where the stresses of the world seemed to fade away. It was a serene escape that allowed me to truly appreciate the beauty of the world around me.
In conclusion, while the cuisine may not have been the highlight of this dining experience, the ambiance and setting were simply unforgettable. For anyone seeking an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle, this seaside restaurant is an...
Read moreWanted to eat here, they told us they have a problem with the kitchen and they work on it, they hoped to fix it fast. Willing to wait, got seated at two tables (8 people), with only a quarter of the tables already occupied. Boss came and told us we have to squeeze all 8 on one table, out in the sun. Left urgently. Exceptional service.
Added after owner response: we sat at two tables with your staff on deck, we did not invade them. It did not seem to be a problem, since staff was placing table covers. The only issue appeared when the staff boss started yelling from across the street, while pointing at us. This is not acceptable. At no point was your staff not polite, they were in an awkward situation created by their boss. You simply CANNOT yell at your staff in Greek, while pointing at your client. And no, the proposed table was not under umbrellas, but this was not even important at that point. I apologize for any inconveniences we caused, hope they were...
