Never Trust this venue for your event! My husband and I decided to throw our pre-wedding party at Aspro. We had friends flying in from different countries and wanted to host them for lunch at Aspro. I met the manager of Aspro Nikos through my wedding planner. She had taken me to Aspro to check out the venue for the wedding and I absolutely loved it but not for my wedding so I decided we would instead have our pre-wedding party there. Biggest mistake ever! Little did I know I would be dealing with the most unprofessional person. Let me start by saying right away he put me off with his behavior, he refused to speak English (claiming he doesn’t feel comfortable) but I quickly realized it was a lack of manners. We had agreed with him that we would like exclusivity to the whole venue ( restaurant and sun beds) and a buffet for our guests including drinks. Nikos created a full buffet menu with wine, beer, coffee and soft drinks and we agreed on a fixed price per person for the full day (1 - 7 pm) for all the things discussed. I left the meeting feeling great and excited. I chased my planner multiple times to send me the bank account details so I send him the deposit. A few weeks later I tried to make some minor adjustments to the menu and he slapped on a massive mark up for 1-2 additions to the menu. I decided it wasn’t worth it and left things as is. I proceeded to send him the deposit. Two weeks before the Event, he tried to alter our financial agreement. He tried to corner us, thinking we would cave given the proximity of time to the event. He claimed that if we do not pay the additional amount he would cancel the event and refund the deposit. I refused to pay him and asked for a refund of the deposit. He quickly changed his tone and confirmed that he will hold the event at the price agreed. One day before the event we met with him to finalize everything. We met him at Aspro where he didn’t even offer us a drink as we sat down to discuss the event. He was even more rude than I remember. He claimed we do not have exclusivity to the sun beds. He tried to claim 2 tables from the restaurant for his own use. He tried to charge extra for any coffees that would be consumed by guests prior to lunch (something we absolutely rejected given it was part of the original package). He literally tried to screw us from every possible angle. The day of the event, I came to find out that some of the waiters tried to charge the guests directly for the coffees (absolutely appalling). Nikos got into a fight with my husband on the day as he tried to seat outside guests in the venue, he made a group of our guests get up from a table to hand it over to his own guests. I was mortified by this whole experience and customer service. He is a crook, someone not to be trusted and lacked every ounce of professionalism. This manager is ruining this venue. It is quite sad to have this experience as this is a great venue, with great food...
Read moreI am shocked over seeing those lower reviews. As an older single female traveler I received and witnessed fantastic service to singles, couples, families and found it entertaining. The beach was packed ( first week of July) and the staff worked like a synchronized dance team above the beach in the beautiful restaurant and on the beach. This little cozy cove is special and I’m not sure why. It feels good. The food was not only delicious but I am a big eater and I sadly pushed away my plate with food still on it.Two Crossed rolled up fluffy towels sit on the oversized fresh cushioned adjustable lounges, Palapas are raised with smiles and menus handed out immediately. It was really a fun time. Later in the week I attended a wedding there and the service was tireless. Believe me, if this staff was going to tire, this party would do it, but the staff smiled throughout and the bartenders get my standing ovation. If I return to Greece, Aspro Paros Seaside Restaurant will be my hangout again. Thank you all ( if you read this) for making a...
Read moreCool place, sheltered from the wind. However awful service. Booked a spot on the beach the evening before and when we turned up the next morning they had “lost” our reservation. However when we insisted we had a reservation they begrudgingly found us a spot in the very back row, which we compromised and agreed to. I had been told the evening before that if we were not there by 1pm we would lose our spot, so I decided to point this out politely and ask if at 1pm if there were a better spot available could we please take that. Both staff members acted liked they could not understand me (after just 5 minutes earlier having a full discussion with me), with one starting a conversation with someone else and the other answering a phone call. I’m guessing the staff did not like my English accent (I am from NZ) and had a preference for Greek guests. Would...
