Maremma — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

Maremma Taverna in Kolibethres is the newest and the best kept secret in Paros. A traditional greek dining experience in a lovely and romantic setting, embraced by soft lighting and a truly marvelous view overlooking the bay.

What a find. As good as any restaurant on the island but with prices that are remarkably reasonable for the absolutely superb quality of the cuisine. No doubt this place will soon be “discovered” and then there will be the usual long wait to dine there, so get in on this now while it’s so new because it is just simply incredible.

The fresh whole red snapper, head to tail, was caught that same day and served on a huge platter garnished with savory spices and a fabulous lemon sauce served on the side. It was was one of the most delicious seafood dishes I have ever tasted, an absolute delight. It was served with horta, exotic organic greens, a fava with delicious grilled squid and the most wonderful homemade warm bread. The portions were generous and the menu has a large selection of delicious choices. Dessert was absolutely amazing too, with an assorted mountain of fresh fruit, home baked pastries and whipped cream. We first stopped for dinner last week and have already returned three times with our entire group .The service and presentation are always top tier and the owners Yorgos and Spiros and his great staff always make you feel like you are visiting old friends. Wow, what an amazing experience dining here. We were on vacation in Paros in early July and came here on the recommendation of a friend who was there twice in one week a month earlier. This restaurant Maremma is about one year old. It was one of our favorite meals in Greece of the 3 Islands we visited. We came in about 8:30 pm w no reservation and were pleasantly seated right away, by what we found out later was the owner. Seated on a lovely outside front porch and covered patio with a gorgeous peaceful view.

The wait staff was especially helpful and guided us in some recommendations. We had a few appetizers and entrees that were all delicious. When the meal was done we saw a large party next to us get a fancy dessert presentation of lighted bowls of ice, watermelon slices, ouzo and shot glasses. We assumed they ordered this and then to our surprise ours came to our table just before our ordered dessert of loukamadis was delivered. The dessert was heavenly, it was warm, apples in a sauce and delicate dough puffs perfectly done.

We felt like we were guests at someone's home as everything felt personal. We will go back again someday we hope! Such a great experience,...

His recommendations were spot on, and his knowledge of the menu made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The food was absolutely incredible - each dish bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite felt thoughtful and refined, yet rooted in authentic Greek tradition. It’s rare to find a place where the kitchen’s creativity and care come through so clearly in every dish.

What really sets Maremma apart is the passion you feel from the entire team. Everyone we encountered seemed to love what they do, and it created a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the meal feel like something truly special.
