We stayed at the amazing Paros Blue Dolphin Hotel and had one of the best times on the island. This quiet, small family-run hotel offers a breathtaking view of the ocean, situated directly opposite the Island of Naxos. The rooms have recently been renovated to a very high standard, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, largely due to the incredible hospitality of the owners, Petros and Anita. You couldn’t find nicer people than these hosts, who made our visit truly special. We traveled over five islands this year, but this place simply stood out.
The hotel's restaurant is nothing short of amazing, with food always freshly prepared. Even the breakfast is cooked to order—nothing is precooked and just warmed up. We dined both in the town and at the hotel, and the quality and service at the hotel were simply the best. What amazed us more was that most of the customers at the restaurant were coming from other local hotels because theirs couldn’t match the food served at the Blue Dolphin. Most customers, whether staying at the accommodation or dining at the restaurant, are repeat customers, which speaks volumes about the Blue Dolphin.
The staff couldn't do more to please us, and the rooms were cleaned to a very high standard daily. They even provide fresh towels for the bathroom every day, which is a rarity at other hotels.
The beach opposite is divine and a surfer's paradise when it's windy. When it’s not windy, the sea and sand are out of this world, with crystal clear water.
Would we stay here again? 100% without a doubt. This place is most certainly a 10/10.

Read moreAmazing base for a stay on Hydra. Just a few steps from where you depart the ferry and to your left. I am 35yr old female solo traveller and found this place ideal. Small but comfortable room, aircon, fridge, shower a little snug but fine, friendly staff and most importantly clean with fresh linen & towels. View from the communal terrace incredible and just like the photos. Be warned there are stairs to the reception area so not ideal for those with walking difficulties. I was out of the room from sunrise to sunset. There is an array of restaurants directly out the front of the hotel and in the harbour which were perfect for breakfast each morning averaging about 15-20euros for a coffee & full breakfast. Be sure to visit Techne Restaurant Bar & Social for dinner, approx. 45euro per person but worth it, the best greek salad I've ever had (make sure you book in advance). Sunset @ Windmill Bar for cocktails and views plus amazing owner & hostess Elaine (again, book in advance). Be sure to do the boat day trip around the island, 60euro for the day including delicious lunch, several swim stops in secluded/untouched locations and interesting commentary about the island and its history along the way well worth it. Lastly, my favourite beach was Bisti, catch the boat 17euro return, be sure to get the first one @ 10.30 to secure prime sunbed & umbrella, I paid 10euro for the day but not sure if that was for single. Everyone moaning about paying for sunbeds these days but that's just standard practice everywhere in Europe these days! Small beach Bar with basic snacks & drinks but nothing stopping you from taking your own...
