Overall 5/5. An outstanding hotel in every way. We booked 3 nights here and extended it to 5 nights and we were very sad to leave. We loved everything about this hotel. Super friendly and helpful staff everywhere. I’ve reviewed over hundreds of hotels and this is one of my favorites.||Arrival 5/5. We had spent 3 nights in the lovely Piso Livadi before coming here. Check in was swift, friendly and efficient. We were 3.5 hours early before the official check in time, but they kindly let us check in early and we were in out room quickly. Cases were delivered swiftly. Reception were always very helpful with advice on bus routes and times, restaurants etc.||Room 5/5. We booked a standard room with partial sea view. This is one of the hotels most basic and value rooms, yet it had a fab sea view. You could see across to Naxos and lots of other small islands. Gorgeous. It was a partial view only because of the tennis court below, but the rest of the view was perfect. It was great value too. Very comfy king bed with high quality bedding. Barb is very keen on top quality bedding. Large bedside cabinets with lamps, a large drawer and more storage below. Huge amount of storage space in the wardrobe area. Plenty of hangers. Desk and chair. TV with lots of international channels. Fridge with water bottle and freezer section. Aircon. Hairdryer. Everything we needed. Immaculately clean everywhere. A second attached bedroom with a single bed and table. Very handy for storing your suitcases etc and a second aircon unit. Coffee machine and kettle. Every few days we got fresh milk for our room for tea from the bar. Creamer just doesn’t cut it with English tea. Lovely sea view through the double balcony doors. Some reviews have said the rooms are small, but not if you add the 2 bedrooms together. Plenty of space and with everything we needed. Very well cleaned every day with an evening turndown service. Immaculate everywhere.||Bathroom 5/5. Compact but high quality with everything that you could need. Nice quality shampoo and gel. Lots of lovely towels.||Balcony 5/5. We loved sitting here after dinner with a glass of wine watching the boats sail past. Table and 3 chairs. Wall mounted clothes dryer. Very handy if you are away for a long time. The sun rose directly in front of us.||Grounds 5/5. Beautifully maintained in all areas. Lots of mature shrubs and manicured lawns. A large car par with sun shelter. Superbly maintained. Garden staff were constantly working on the site. There’s an excellent floating pier for you to swim from in the sea.||Pool 5/5. A large, approx 20m long. Staff were always on hand to assist. The pool also had a shallow children’s section. Superb views across to Golden Sands bay. The pool is surrounded by quality padded sun loungers and sunshades. Lots more loungers away from the pool, overlooking the sea. As with all areas, well maintained. There’s a nice pool bar overlooking the sea too. Great for a sunset drink before dinner.||Location 5/5. Outstanding and beautiful. Panoramic views across the bay and beyond. I really enjoyed watching the windsurfers zipping across the bay - wonderful. There’s a coastal path passing the hotel. You can walk in both directions. 6 min, to the small beach of Nea Crysti Atkito the left, a few hotels and restaurants. We ate at Veranda Blue one night. To the right, 2 minutes walk to the fab Golden Beach. Great to walk along. The cool Blue beach bar and restaurant is a 5 minute stroll from the hotel. A must try place. A well stocked mini mart is a further 5 minutes walk along the lovely beach. You can catch the local bus to Drios, Naousa and Parikia from the bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel. Reception had timetables. It’s a perfect location.||Overall 5/5. We loved everything about this hotel. That’s all I can say really. Thanks to all of the super staff for...

Full disclosure - I wrote this on TripAdvisor, but it warrants being here too.

To keep it short: I can't express how disappointed I am in this hotel. Beautiful property, right on the beach, with THE WORST staff I've ever come across in any industry. And this was multiple people who experienced their abhorrent behavior, not just me. I'll elaborate.

We came here for a friend's wedding, so there was a big group of people. The night we checked in, we get our suite with sea view. The suite is decent enough, and I immediately go to use the restroom. Of course the flush doesn't work. And as I look closer, I realize there are BUGS crawling around the restroom and just outside it. I wasn't sure what kind of bugs they were (I took one photo and several videos), but obviously, I called the front desk. They were WAY more concerned about the toilet than the bugs, which was odd, but they ended up sending in a maid and a tech to fix everything. We went back in the room, and it looked fine, so we slept there.

The next morning, we wake up, and the place was COVERED in bugs. Bedroom, living room, bathroom, everything. So obviously I request a room change. I ask for a manager, who is a gentleman who might be the single angriest person I've ever met in my life. The rudeness he displayed to me and everyone else was amazing. Anyways, he tells me there are no other rooms and I need to deal with the bugs. But I know that's not true, because another lady had offered a room change earlier. Luckily, she's in the area, and tells him this, so we switch rooms. The manager then asked more about the bugs (they were small ants in the end), and says I must have left a door open and that's why the bugs got in. Uhhh...do bugs need permission like party guests to enter a room? No, dude. You're a fool.

There were several other negative experiences here. -A friend of ours asked for a taxi/van to take us to the city, because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. He made sure to ask for a van that can seat at least 5. Obviously, because 5 of us wanted to go into town. They quoted him 25 Euros. Totally fine. We all pile into the van. As we're about to leave, the manager runs out and says because there are 5 of us, it's going to be 65 Euro. All of a sudden, they magically charge per person. So one van ride would be the SAME PRICE as the van going back and forth 3 times. We're mad at this point, and we end up being stubborn til we 'settle' on 40 Euros. Oh, and the van driver purposely dropped us off away from town and told us to walk. -Our A/C was broken in our room the first night. -Several guests had no hot water for an entire day. -We were charged for a sea view suite even though our new suite had a view of the hotel driveway. -A few people bought beers from a gas station and drank them by the beach. The angry manager came over and said that he'd call the police unless they bought alcohol from the hotel only. What??

I could go on, but you get the picture. You're nickel and dimed for everything, management are awful human beings. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - stay somewhere...

Where do I begin?! After searching several different islands for a place to hold my intimate wedding, I stumbled across Poseidon by chance. I sent an inquiry email and received a response back quickly. After learning about the hotel, location, and costs of the wedding, I knew Poseidon was the perfect place to get married. Over the next year, I exchanged countless emails with Maria, the sales manager. She was always so quick to reply to my emails and answer any and every question I might have. She made it very easy to plan a wedding from afar as we live in Switzerland and I didn't have a wedding planner.

Check in: Fast forward to the wedding weekend in September 2024. On arrival at the hotel, the staff was amazing. They greeted us in the front of the hotel, welcomed me and my infant daughter inside and gave me a delicious glass of homemade lemonade while my husband unloaded our luggage with another staff member. I felt like I was arriving at a spa retreat. It just had those vibes. Check in was very fast and efficient and was followed by a tour of the beautiful grounds before showing us to our room. Our luggage was delivered promptly after we were shown our rooms.

After check in, Maria had set up a meeting with the food and beverage manager to review specifics for the wedding and dinner. Giorgios was amazing right from the start. He had printed my schedule and vendor list for the wedding that I had sent to Maria and was prepared to discuss every detail to make sure we were all on the same page. He went out of his way to make the wedding beautiful.

On site restaurant and breakfast: Do NOT skip this restaurant. We dined here on our first night and it was one of my favorite meals in Greece. I had the beef tagliata and I couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the trip. Complete perfection! The breakfast was included every morning and was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and delicious. I have never had homemade peanut butter cookies nearly as good as the ones at breakfast. I'll dream about those cookies.

The wedding dinner was absolutely phenomenal. We had lamb, pork, or sea bream. My dish was pork and wow, it was so good. My husband had lamb and loved it. Our guests were thrilled with the food, as well as the amazing Greek wine. I also need to mention the wonderful staff during the dinner. We had seven servers taking care of us and they were so diligent and thorough. My glass was never empty.

Rooms: Our room was perfect. We had a living room with a separate bedroom and three different balconies. There was also a full kitchen. Beautiful views all around! They also put a travel cot in our room for our daughter. The cleaning personnel were also great and very kind.

Stop hotel/wedding venue searching and pick Poseidon. The location, rooms, food, service, and hospitality are unmatched. Big shout-out to Maria and Giorgios for helping us have a beautiful wedding. We hope to come back next year for our one year...

First of all don’t come to Paros if you are unhappy with wind. The hotel is on the east side of Paros, which is more windy. Others: Very clean. Standard rooms may disappoint with some of them are 1-2 steps below the ground level. We stayed in a superior suite which was airy, large, comfortable. Beach is rocky but it is OK considering that very few hotels with beach access exist in Paros. Also you can walk to the sandy public beach which is only 100 meters. Nice breasfast with many choices.. 20-30 min drive to central places but OK. Free parking available. I disliked the cartoon glasses served to the pool and beAch loungers. First they are not environment friendly. Second, Paros is windy and they easily fall or fly. A more sustainable solution is necessary. Front desk people are mostly new in the hotel and in Paros. They may not come with great suggestions around Paros. Make your own google search the better. ONE MORE THING for the staff: not well experienced in hospitality business. One person from the front desk accompanied us to our room during check in. When she opened the door of the room, she closed it immediately and said it is not clean. We had to walk back to the lobby and they started saying oh you know check in is at 3pm. You did not mention your check in time. I reminded them that we have mentioned our check in time and all other people who checked in with us were taken to their rooms. The staff has a tendency to put the blame on the guests. Then I told them I had some issues with my bowels they offered me to go to the shower room. I said I needed a comfy place and asked for any of the ready rooms until our room is cleaned. She said yes but you always have to give them the idea. They just dont try for a pleasing solution. The day before check out we asked for 1 hour late checkout. They said no. After all we insisted they gave us 30 mins. Actually they made us feel like begging for another half an hour. For a guest whom they took to the door of the room and said it’ was not clean yet, they could have easily made us forget it, but they preferred not to please us. For the other staff: if you see someone asking how you are of if you need anything that will be your lucky day.
