I had the pleasure of dining at Votris and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern yet cozy, with soft lighting and music that creates a relaxed and intimate ambiance. The amazing view of the chora from the terrace is a plus.
The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was attentive, extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions that enhanced our meal.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely exceptional! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Votris flawlessly mixes tradition with refined cuisine. Very suggested is their fresh fish of the the day.
In addition to the delicious food, the drink menu is equally impressive, with a wide selection of wines that pair perfectly with the dishes.
The best restaurant on the island. Highly...
Read moreGood food. The service: a trainwreck. Everyone seemed to know each other, the waitresses and the hostess, so there were many conversations happening at most tables, which seemed to be carefully attended to. It was our first time at the restaurant and we felt completely neglected. After 35 minutes sitting at our table we asked the hostess if we could order. She said, of course and then left and never came back. 10 minutes later we told the waitress that we were ready to order and finally placed the order. Once we were finished we had to ask for the check three times before getting it. I had to go to the cashier inside of the restaurant to solicit the check. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. If your focus is to cater to the costumer that year after year returns to this place, then maybe make it into a...
Read moreThe restaurant's review scores and the menu convinced us to make a reservation. Unfortunately, we found Votris/Βότρυς to be overrated, underwhelming, and overpriced. The "Patmos" salad promised toasted bits of Patmos cheese pie and seasonal greens, but it turned out to be a (minor) variation of a Greek village-style salad ("horiatiki") with very stale, small, inedible croutons which could have been made of any bread really. Then, there were the disappointing "seafood dolmadakia," supposedly made with vine leaves stuffed with rice and seafood, but the seafood was nowhere to be found. Finally, the bread, for which you get charged extra, was terribly stale. While the food was terribly disappointing and notably overpriced, we appreciated the view, and the little dessert was...
