Houston — Restaurant in Patmos Municipality

We wanted to have lunch in the town , and Houston was rated pretty high among the other places. Our party of 6 wanted to eat some local food , while we were deciding what we are going to eat the waitress was inpatien. The food was more like something you cook at home when you dong have time to cook properly. We ordered 2 burgers, Chicken breast , salad , grilled shrimp and two mushroom dishes. None of the dishes had anything on the side. The burgers were small and plain, the shrimp smelled like it is atleast a year old and the chicken was ok but nothing special. The redeeming dish was the salad (wich was super small) but it was not enough to make our experience better.

Ended up going to the restaurant 10 steps from there (Alas) where the food was delightful.

Tried to kill me, and I had to pay for it.

I asked for the chocolate pancakes, which has no mention of nuts in the menu, and even made sure to tell the server that I am allergic. He comes out with pancakes which had merenda on it - a spread which has chocolate and hazelnuts.

I tell him I cannot eat this, and he goes back with the food, audibly upset. He then comes back and puts it in front of my four year old niece, saying that she might want it. She says no, but he leaves it anyways.

When paying he says the total, and I ask if this includes the pancakes, and he says yes. I try to tell him I did not order this, as I can't eat it, but he proceeds to say that I have to pay, forcing me to pay for food that would have killed me, if I wasn't...

Average food with usual island prices, but what ruined our breakfast, was when a group of 16 people were seated less than half a meter away from us. Apart from illegal, because of the COVID-19 restrictions, it was quite annoying. We asked to be seated elsewhere and got a look like that we were in the wrong. When we paid, we politely informed the waittress that what they are doing is illegal and not proper. Her reply was "I'm sorry, but what can we do".
