Μέντα Καφενείον — Restaurant in Preveza Municipality

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The main dishes, including the grilled shrimp and kebab, were absolutely perfect, expertly cooked, full of flavor, and incredibly satisfying. The texture and seasoning of both dishes were spot on, making every bite a delight.

However, the real highlight of the meal was the appetizers. The French fries with bacon and cheese were simply outstanding, the combination of crispy fries, melted cheese, and bacon created an explosion of flavors that was truly unforgettable. The Flogeres with cheese and bacon was equally impressive, with a rich and perfectly balanced taste that made it a must-try dish. Both appetizers were more than what we expected, and they alone are enough reason to return to this restaurant.

To complement our meal, we ordered both red and white wine, and they were excellent. The quality of the wine was top-notch, enhancing the dining experience and pairing wonderfully with our food choices.

As for the restaurant itself, I can say that I was completely satisfied. The cleanliness and atmosphere were great, and we felt comfortable throughout our time there.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely love to visit again. The quality of the food, the incredible appetizers, and the great selection of wine make this a place worth recommending. If you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, this is definitely a restaurant...

The first time I went I liked it, second was a complete disaster. The waitresses are untrained and their right hand doesn't know what their left is doing! First we asked for 2 ouzos which shouldn't be such a difficult task if you call yourself a 'kathenion with small plates' First waitress brings ouzo with ice already in - not a thing you'd expect to see in a 'kathenion' BUT where's the water???? says a 2nd waitress would bring it - 15 minutes later no water - asked THREE other 'waitresses' (use the word loosely) for water ....... waited NOTHING! Got up and asked at the bar - the same first waitress filled two glasses with WARM water and gave them me to carry back.

meze arrives - no forks (all this is 45 minutes, ouzo is warm and ruined) asked two waitresses ...... no one brought forks .... asked a waiter who was passing and happened to have forks for a meal - he reluctantly gave us the forks ...... in all that time NOT ONE waitress came back with either water or forks. Absolutely useless. I give two stars for the actual place, its design and not for the service it offers - My Preveza husband said this is the last time they see his face, maybe I will give them another chance when summer is over...

We discovered Menta Kafeneion few years ago, and ever since this place is on our chart when going down on Ionian islands of Lefkada and Kefalonia. Set on the entrance to the old Preveza, on a small square, shaded by platanos trees, this place attracts first with the relaxed and authentic vibe and ambience and then it comes the food. Wether you like more salads or meat dishes or just snacks everything is fresh and delicious. Prices are normal and quality is really high above average. Service friendly and welcoming will help you making your choices. Altogether an absolute 10 for this place and do not miss it when going through Preveza to south or going north toward Parga. There is a large public parking (free) just a few hundred metres away...
