I so wanted to like and support this new restaurant but ......
I tried this place when it first opened and gave it 5 stars - but that was until we went there on 14th Feb Valentine's Day. So, in order to share that experience I've had to delete the 5 star review. The lady who takes the orders (mumbles a tonne of words) persuaded my husband to have the set menu, I just had a bowl of potatoes as I wasn't hungry.
The set meal was 25 euro which seemed reasonable ...until it came. Firstly, as a chef you should know the difference between oysters and tiny clams (size of a big toe nail!) Three 'oysters' on a bowl of ice. (see pics) For goodness sake oysters look and taste completely different to clams! Oysters should have been served raw with lemon. .... if they had been oysters!
Then a tiny salad of raw courgettes, which wasn't even seasoned properly. Then the tiny quail, which looked like someone had killed it with a sledge hammer on the plate! Blood splattered (it was a tasteless berry sauce) and a strange pink mousse. It should have been served on a bed of pureed sweet potato, or fava ...something!!! The saving grace was the ice cream and broken pieces of meringue in it. That was nice, and also my bowl of roasted potatoes and feta.
The waitress asked if we had enjoyed the meal and my husband said no. The last review I gave, I had chicken and salad, which was nothing special but nice.
Hopefully the Valentine menu was a mistake, I will leave it a while until I try it again, Such a shame, I had high hopes for this place. I have added a pic of oysters to show...
Read moreStaff we very welcoming and friendly and took time to explain the menu. Wine by the kilo which is always a good thing. We started with ceaser salad, very well presented and tasty. I had the mushroom risotto which was excellent, my only observation was that it could have been served in a shallow dish rather than a deep dish which is more for soup. Αρχικά, όμορφη μουσική για φαγητό σε αποδεκτή ένταση.
Ξεκινήσαμε με ορεκτικό κροκέτες μουσακά. Εξαιρετικό πιάτο καθόλου βαρύ με τραγανιστά πατατάκια.
Σαλάτα πράσινο μήλο, επίσης εξαιρετικό, και δε σε έπνιγε στη γλυκιά γεύση όπως συνήθως με αυτές τις σαλάτες. Ισορροπημένη.
Κυρίως πήραμε αρνίσια παιδάκια και καρμπονάρα. Και τα δύο πιάτα εξαιρετικά. Η σπαγγέτι δεν ήταν μπαγιάτικη (ψυγείου πχ) και το αρνί καλιψημένο και ζουμερό.
Για επιδόρπιο μηλόπιτα με παγωτό & σουφλέ σοκολάτας. Εξαιρετικά όπως τα προηγούμενα. Στη μηλόπιτα μου άρεσε η προσέγγιση με τα κομμάτια μήλου.

Bonus point: Διαθέτουν το Ξινό Νερό (ανθρακούχο από τη Φλώρινα, εξαιρετικό, ίσως το καλύτερο στην ελληνική αγορά).
Στον εξωτερικό χώρο υπάρχουν τραπέζια με ψηλές καρέκλες που η πρώτη εντύπωση που σου δίνουν είναι πως δεν είναι ότι πιο βολικό για φαγητό, ενώ ισχύει ακριβώς το αντίθετο, είναι εξαιρετικά άνετες.
Γενικά δεν έχω κάτι αρνητικό να πω.
Είναι ένα κατάστημα υγειονομικού ενδιαφέροντος που προσφέρει κάτι διαφορετικό και μακάρι να "πιάσει"...
