We have visited Celest on numerous occasions (5 or 6).
The atmosphere is enjoyable, although a bit cold if seated outside, depending on the time of year. We've had to sit outside due to the fact that we had our dogs with us. That is very understandable. Maybe an outside enclosure would be an idea, with standing gas heaters.
The service is pretty good. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive, although at times a bit slow when the venue gets busier. Overall not bad, no real faults.
The food. The food is presented well, and the menu is fairly extensive. There is also a menu of the week which changes and keeps things exciting. The prices are acceptable, although the portions may be slightly small. This is a finer-dining restaurant so you can expect slightly smaller plates. The breakfasts, however, are generous and tasty.
Here is my issue: Every time we've patronised the establishment there has been at least one order that has arrived to the table cold. This, to me is unacceptable. I've not mentioned it to the staff previously as I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt, but this is now a real issue and a reaccuring problem. Recently, I've received an underdone burger, a cold onion soup (while seated outside in 8 degrees), and cold pepper sauce for the 20€ steak. The coffees have also been cold in the past. I've read other reviews which state the food has been cold also.
Having said the above, the atmosphere, service and presentation matters less than the actual quality of the dish served, hence my 3 star rating.
I'm not 100% sure I'll be returning as there are other very comfortable restaurants that offer delicious food, at fair prices.
I hope the manager can sort out this issue of cold food and retain the future clients. It shouldn't be...
Read moreI'm often visiting Celeste either for coffee or to eat. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed all the hours of the day as the restaurant is located inside the new marine of Preveza. It's equal good either for having your coffee (try to combine it with one of the nice sweets they serve, I especially liked their millefeuille). Food is also good, I have tasted and liked their pizza, club sandwich (don't miss the excellent fries!) , Cesar salad, burgers, steake, mushroom risotto, nioki with chicken. All of them tasty. Prices are logical (there are plates to suit both those on budget and those who want to spend some More) , justified by the quality of the place and food. If you don't have kids with you, try to find a table on the roof, where the view is great. The service is also good, lots of people around you , on the busy days however you may have to wait a little for the...
Read moreCelest in Preveza is an absolute gem! The view is simply breathtaking, right in front of the sea, overlooking luxurious yachts. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal with a stunning view.
The quality of the food was outstanding. They served water at the table, which was a nice touch. We ordered two pasta dishes with bacon, sour cream, and chicken, and they were both incredibly delicious. The flavors were rich, and the pasta was cooked perfectly.
For an appetizer, we had turkey and Gouda cheese rolls, and they were simply amazing! We’ve tried similar dishes at other restaurants, but this one was on a whole different level in terms of taste, quality, and ingredients.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend Celest to anyone visiting Preveza. If you want to enjoy fantastic food with a spectacular view, this is the...
