My experience is based on many visits since I've worked on the island of Skyros in the past. "Psariotis fishtavern" still remains a point of reference if you want to taste freshly caught fish and especially bigger ones (grouper, dentex, lobster) in very reasonable price. The reason for that is that the family are mainly fishing boat owners and fishermen that apart from supplying their own restaurant (as well as other restaurants even in Athens) with excellent and value priced material, they know how to treat and grill fish. Yesterday we ate two slices of a 7kg Grouper and a small Sciena umbra. Of course along with the necessary appetizers like a very delicious and light aubergine salad (with smoked grilled aubergines, garlic, parsley and olive oil) and a "Ntakos salad" with traditional Skyros "xsinotiri" (a sour cream cheese of goat and sheep milk). Read moreWe have visited the restaurant many times during our vacation and we always had a great experience. The location is quiet and beautiful, the place is very clean, the food is delicious, the fish is always fresh and the service is fast and helpful.
I strongly recommend you to try the famous lobster 🦞 spaghetti 🍝 and for starters definitely the red pepper 🌶 and the sea salad 🥗!
