First of all I will start with the view. This place gives you arguably the best view out of any restaurant in the entire village. You can basically see everything, the mountain, the sea, other villages. It's simply beautiful. I recommend going there during daytime because it's generally cold and has a breeze, but if it's summertime, you can get away with going there at night, however you obviously won't be able to see everything as well!
Now about the food, the portion sizes are LARGE. When I say large I mean VERY large. For the price you're paying (around 9-12 depending on the dish) you are definitely getting more than enough food, and the best part is that it also tastes really good.
The Skopelitiki Tiropita is a MUST try for anyone, genuinely one of the best I've had, so please if you go there give it a go. Then depending on your preference from charcoal grilled or stews, you can enjoy both at the same level.
This place is a very authentic greek tavern, that gives you exactly what it shows you. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't , or something extravagant, and it does a really damn good job at it. If you are in Milies, or really, anywhere near the village, I recommend...
Read moreGenerally speaking, I’m quite picky when it comes to food, so when I give a place five stars, I truly mean it. This was one of those rare times when everything exceeded my expectations. The menu isn’t huge, but that’s often a good sign—quality over quantity. Every dish we tried was delicious and clearly prepared with care. We had the lamb chops, which were tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The French fries were crispy and well-seasoned, a perfect side. The Greek salad was fresh, vibrant, and balanced, with just the right amount of olive oil and herbs. The cheese (I assume it was local) was rich and creamy—just a small detail, but it added a lot to the experience.
What really stood out, aside from the food, were the prices. Everything was very reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portion sizes. You definitely get great value for your money, which is getting rarer these days.
And finally, the setting: it’s hard to beat the view. Whether you're enjoying a long lunch or a relaxed dinner, the scenery adds something special to the whole experience. I’d absolutely recommend this place and will definitely return. It’s a hidden gem worth...
Read moreWe visited this tavern on Sunday 01/08/21 evening around 10.30. We were served almost 45 minutes later. All other tables were served a long ago and our order should be the only to serve. Except buffalo meatballs, that were good, all the rest were below average. A rather over grilled beef burger, same were the chicken ribs, almost dried both with pre-fried potatoes all over. Seems that the cook was bored. Same was the impression for the waiters. There are better places to eat...
