MARABU Restaurant & Coffee-Bar — Restaurant in South Pilio Municipality

The very kind Bulgarian gentleman who works there recommended grilled dorado fish (about 1,5 Kg). We cooked and ate A LOT of seafood in our lives but dare I say , it was THE BEST FISH WE'VE EVER HAD! Super fresh, juicy and succulent fish cooked to perfection! It wasn't cheap by local standard but it's worth every cent! Rightly so considering the size of the fish. Washed it down with chardonnay from milea winery, a local winery in Argalasti. Absolutely wonderful! Will we come back here...

Nice authentic Greek restaurant doing the basics really well, from fish to the grilled meats and moussaka. Top location next to the main beach in Afissos (they also have a bar and some sun loungers). The Bulgarian head waiter is super nice and made us feel genuinely welcome, and the resident cat on a leash is fun for the kids. Also, the fresh orange juice...

We loved this restaurant. We had lunch here last week and tonight we came back for dinner. Authentic Greek food, just fabulous. I wish we had a restaurant as good as this at home in York, UK. We're sitting by the beach, the ambiance is lovely. If you are coming to Pelion (Greece)...
