Ivy — Restaurant in Trikala Municipality

We arrived at the restaurant quite early and we ordered at exactly 9am an omelette, a club sandwichand two coffees. Coffees were average. The food arrived 45 mins later. We thought that's a good sign as they possibly cook everything on the spot. It look d tasty when it arrived, but the chicken in the sandwich, which would take the longest to cook, was cold from the fridge. The bread was also cold and only one slice was toasted. (Did they use leftovers?) As for the omelette was average as well. No idea why they took so long. The service was nothing special. The environment on the other hand was really nice. Overall we wouldn't recommend it...

Η εμπειρία μας στο Ivy Bar-Restaurant στα Τρίκαλα ήταν απλά τραγική. Ημασταν 2 άτομα που ταξιδέψαμε από κοντινή πόλη, και η αντιμετώπιση που λάβαμε ήταν απαράδεκτη.

Η γυναίκα στην είσοδο ήταν εντελώς αντιεπαγγελματική και φαινόταν ξεκάθαρα ότι δεν ήθελε να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Αρχικά δεν μας επέτρεψε καν να μπούμε μέσα ενώ επικρατούσε ασταμάτητη συνεχής βροχή. Όταν ρώτησα αν υπάρχει λίστα αναμονής, διστακτικά ισχυρίστηκε τυχαία ότι υπήρχαν «2-4-6 άτομα σε αναμονή», κάτι που δεν έβγαζε νόημα εφόσον δεν είχε λίστα. Όταν της είπα ότι θα περιμέναμε, μας απέτρεψε λέγοντας ότι δεν πρέπει να περιμένουμε, επειδή οι κρατήσεις για την επόμενη ώρα θα έρθουν, παρόλο που ήταν ήδη περασμένες 22:20 και η τελευταία ώρα κρατήσεων ήταν στις 22:30.

Ήταν ξεκάθαρο ότι δεν ήμασταν ευπρόσδεκτοι, και όλη η εμπειρία ήταν προσβλητική και με διάθεση διάκρισης. Ήθελε ξεκάθαρα να μας διώξει από το μαγαζί. Δεν θα πρότεινα ποτέ μα ποτέ αυτό το μέρος σε κανέναν. ————————————

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Ivy Bar-Restaurant in Trikala. We were a group of 2 and we visited on a rainy evening, traveling from a nearby city, and the treatment we received was unacceptable.

The woman at the entrance was unprofessional and clearly uninterested in serving us. When I asked if there was a waiting list, she hesitated and randomly claimed there were “2-4-6 people waiting,” which made no sense (there was not any list). When I said we were willing to wait, she dismissed us, saying we shouldn’t wait because the reservations for the next time slot would arrive, even though it was already past 22:20 and the last slot was at 22:30.

It was clear we were not welcome there, and the whole experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory. I would never recommend this...

Nice place, comfortable seats and couch but all the rest were disappointing. We arrived at 13:40 there and we were hungry hopping to have something to eat from the breakfast/brunch menu. They were so slow to take our order that when they asked us the time was 13:55. We asked to order something from the breakfast/brunch menu and we were told that we can't do that because it was too late for that since the kitchen service ended at 14:00. I ordered just an iced coffee which was terrible and after a while we left to go somewhere else....
