Ouzotherapy — Restaurant in Volos Municipality

We went there during a very busy day. in the beginning, the personnel was friendly and found us a table relatively quick compared to how busy it was. The problems started just after. They came to take the order after waiting more than 25 minutes. We ordered a quarter of wine , french fries, a variety of fish for 2 persons, and a tarama salad. They brought us some bread with the cutlery (three forks and one knife instead of two and two). Then we waited for around 30 minutes for them to bring us only the tarama salad without bringing anything else (not even extra bread). We had this plate in front of us for an extra 40 minutes, which they finally brought the food, and they forgot to bring napkins and the dishes ( they brought them when we were almost finished). The quality of food was extremely low, no fresh fish at all, and the French fries were extremely bad (after this, we did not touch any food for three days and we were sick). In the end, we asked the bill, and they told us to pay 66 euros, We double-checked, and the price to pay was supposed to be 36... we mentioned it, and they made the correction afterward. Even on a busy day, they should be able to keep at least a basic quality, which they obviously could not. One of the most disappointing dinners I've ever had. Visited Volos after a long while and was excited to try the local cuisine. Went to the restaurant purely on account of it being close to the hotel and without checking any reviews first. Sat down in an almost empty store as it was early afternoon and tried to order. Took us three tries to manage it since the shifts were changing and the outgoing waitress essentially wanted to pass us on to the next shift - ok, not the end of the world. We ordered a salad, "fresh" calamari (θράψαλο), anchovy (γαύρος), shrimp and a couple more things. The kritama salad was the saltiest thing I've ever tasted, could only ever imagine it as a side or a garnish. Calamari felt like a reheated or badly fried dish, that barely tasted anything. Anchovies were ok, shrimp the same. Nothing to write home about. An order of fried zucchini arrived 45 minutes later, after we had forgotten we ordered it and an aubergine salad never even made it to the table. Very, very disappointing. I don’t normally leave bad reviews but on this occasion I have to. Even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy the service was very slow. Waited 15 minutes for them to bring our drinks. I actually thought they’d forgotten them.

The tomato balls were inedible, we couldn’t eat them. And the pork souvlaki was very poor, gristle and very chewy, parts of which were inedible. And the chips that came with the souvlaki ended up sort of gelling into one homogenous mass. Not really chips, more sort of congealed potato. Among the worst food we’ve had in Greece and we’ve been living there for eight years.
