I asked google maps to add this lovely little taverna because it was by far the best food I had while traveling around the Zagori Mountains. We had the lettuce salad with green onions, lemon and olive oil (very fresh), the beans and spinach which were so rich and delicious stewed in a tomato and onion soup, a friend cheese that is made in a little village and I had not seen anywhere else in Greece (crispy, tasty and different tasting from saganaki) and a vegetable pie which was stuffed with local veggies and very tasty with a little vinegar added. The very kind (and fluent in English) proprietress also provided the password for anyone who needed to use the internet (which was nice since our hotel had no internet). The town is also gorgeous with an overlook onto Vikos Gorge, and it is a great starting point for a hike through the gorge to Monodendri or to Kastri peak or back to Monodendri via the little villages of Elafotopos...
Read moreAmazing place if you want to try local food. We stayed nearby and had dinner there for a couple of days. I personally tried the Greek salad and the homemade dishes with pork, lamb, and beef. Everything was very delicious. The family that owns the restaurant is very friendly and positive, making you feel as if you are at home. The atmosphere is cozy, and the place is very clean. My only remark is that card payment is not always possible, which is something good to consider. But that doesn't affect the overall experience. I would definitely visit that...
