Sarakina Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

This is slightly out of the way from the crowded restaurants in town but it's the one place you need to eat at..!! Firstly, it's absolutely beautiful here in the evening.. and the live music just adds that layer of authenticity you crave after so many commercial restaurants all over the Island.. The food is heavenly..!! Try the octopus in wine sauce.. OMG..!! I ordered a pork chop - in it's place, they must have revived a t-rex and handed it to me on a plate.. it was soft, succulent, the sauce went beautifully with it and it's just maaassive..!! To top it off.. the main older gentleman serving us has been a dream.. courteous, kind, friendly, smiley, attentive and just so lovely..

In short.. please come and eat here...you won't...

Such a lovely restaurant. It's in a secluded location so you're fully immersed in your meal with great live traditional greek music in the background. There is plenty of outdoor searing to give you a pleasant overall feeling. The waiters are attentive and a pleasure to speak with. They take the time to make sure all is well and help with any queries you have. Food is tasty and very well priced. We ordered a mix of different dishes and all were superb. Nope... Terrible, broken toilet seat in one of our rooms, the bathroom floor was filthy.
