The Original Slipway — Restaurant in Carriacou

Nice place, nice location, food is better than most but not quite up to what they charge for it. Honestly, been coming to Tyrell Bay for past 5 hurricane seasons and the Slipway either disappoints or kind of hits it. The service is hit or miss - I’m actually here right now and one of 3 customers but nobody has come to refill a drink or see if I want the bill, have to walk to the bar myself. Bartender is good tonight. My wife and I had an amazing experience here at The Original Slipway! We reserved a table for our Christmas Eve Dinner. When we arrived, a Christmas cracker and some fresh baked goods were brought to our table as a Christmas gift. We were served glasses of complimentary Sangria which was DELICIOUS! The menu was full of options and everyone was extremely nice! They had live Christmas music starting at 6pm. We liked it so much that we reserved again for New Years Eve, and will go back more before we leave Carriacou.

Our two boat fleet happened to spend (2) nights at Tyrell Bay, Carriacou; heading up to Tobago Cays and later on the week during return to Grenada. Enjoyed The old boat-works atmosphere with tree-house feel while listening to the ebb and flow of the gentle bay. The Pina Colada was true Caribbean mixology! A simple chalk-board menu easily appeals to all tastebuds. Enjoyed the laid back music and friendly service. Will be back next...
