Saumarez Park Café — Restaurant in Castel

It was nice to sit down and have a mocha! I ended up having a jacket potato, which was lovely. The people are great and I did end up also having apple crumble (also yummy). There were a lot of kids and (sorry) I'm not a fan but they do have an area for kids (sadly not a soundproof box,.. kidding... kind of) and there is a chalkboard room, TV with children's TV on (fascinatingly funny/cringe worthy to me). I'm sure there is more for kids, I don't know about these things! Great to have little break in a beautiful park...

Loved it! We were sitting outside, plenty of room. One of our party has a mobility issue, but they could not have made it easier for him to negotiate getting to a suitable table. They were very busy, but the food came without having to wait too long. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff very helpful.
