Went to 1857 today as a party of 5 adults and 6 children for Sunday lunch. Couldn’t fault it. The staff were really efficient and friendly, accommodating us wanting to eat late and with gluten free options. The roast dinner was incredible- perfect Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and vegetables. Best roast I’ve had in a restaurant for a long time. Alongside Sunday roast they were serving their full menu. Burgers, halloumi fries, paella, delicious puddings. Really reasonable prices and lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back very soon.
