KFC Guyana — Restaurant in City of Georgetown

This is not fast food. Last night we waited over an hour and a half in the drive thru for a bucket of chicken. We could have killed a chicken, plucked it, curried it and clapped fresh roti in the time we waited and we honestly all wished we had. We got to the drive thru around 11:30 pm and left at 1 am (they were supposed to close at midnight). It seems like if you go here close to closing time, you could potentially wait forever and your only options are fried chicken---no sandwiches or anything else. Somebody came out to take our order as we waited in the line, presumably to prepare only what was being ordered, so it is unclear why we could not order sandwiches and other items. That being said, the chicken was fresh, hot and it was delicious. Far too many people standing around and doing absolutely nothing though, I can't see how that's profitable for KFC. Seems like some of those jobs need to be cut. Some were very rude as well, walking away when we were talking to them, but others were nice. I saw that some women were allowed to go inside to use the washroom, since several cars were in the drive thru waiting forever in the line, which was nice of those staff members to permit that since the dining room had already closed.

I placed an order online to KFC Amazonia mall location at 5:44 pm it is now 19:02. I haven't gotten a confirmation call to verify my order or to verify my location. I've been ordering from this establishment since the beginning of time, and I must say the Customer Service is atrocious at best.

The staff talks to you how they feel like I remember vividly I ordered something at the Regent St location my order came up to 1740 online the young lady called to confirm my order and she said my total is 1740 a few moments later the delivery guy called for directions I gave him such then he said to me "yuh total is 1840" my response to that was "the girl told 1740 how is now 1840 please let me know what is the correct cost" I heard the young lady saying "wam like she can't pay $100 extra" mind you I am a very patient person and I don't ever post on social media about how these "fast food joints" treat customers I take my disrespect and walk away but I make conscious decision not to spend my money at that organization because of the way I was treated.

Back to today June 10th, 2022

I've called the establishment 37 times and no one answered. This is the last day me and my family will ever be purchasing food from this establishment.

The food is average to okay I’m still half convinced they put weed in the chicken 🍗 🐔 with how addictive it is, as Guyanese go crazy of it. However the service is beyond atrocious as to what manny Guyanese would attest to, at this point I can’t wait for AI and robotics to take over the fast food industry and serve customers, so we won’t have to deal with sour face people anymore. The staff also will always get an order wrong that would end up robbing the customer, they always forget to put the right amount of pieces of chicken, which leads them to always shorting customers.

Note they never add an extra piece by mistake not once in the 10 years they’ve been here but they always remember to short customers. The staff to simply put are morons, management is incompetent and whilst they are some pleasant staff who are professional there are far and few in between.
